Air Chief Marshal AP Singh ends his tenure tomorrow - among the finest Chiefs I have seen in 3 decades of covering the forces. Met him first when he headed the National Flight Test Centre's team of test pilots flying the Tejas. Excellent aviator, a very fine mind. Utterly unpretentious, spoke his mind - singularly determined to make changes where they mattered. Didn't want to kick the can down the road. Took on HAL directly with Tejas and made it clear - deliver what you promise or don't deliver at all. This was the man we needed at the helm for Op Sindoor. In an era of social media, foreign disinformation campaigns on X and a plain lack of understanding of how warfare happens, his reputation took a hit over IAF losses during Sindoor. The expectation was of a perfect record. That doesn't happen in military operations of the scale and intensity that we saw. Important to remember ACM Singh as the Chief who helmed the IAF's massive fight back which forced Pakistan to the ceasefire table. On May 10, 2025, the IAF hit Pakistan harder than at any point since the 1971 war, 54 years earlier. By about noon that day, the IAF was clearly on the ascendency, picking off high value targets at will. More than 10 airbases and air defence sites had been struck. An Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft had been shot down. IAF jets tasked with hitting even more targets had to abort their missions when Pak's DGMO picked up the hotline and said they had had enough. That will remain my abiding memory of Air Chief Marshal AP Singh.

Dear Mr. Sirsa @mssirsa What I witnessed on NH8 was deeply frustrating and, frankly, reflected a complete failure of coordination between the traffic police and the administration. An advisory had already been issued about the problem at the Rao Tularam flyover. Despite knowing this, NH8 was allowed to get completely choked. I saw ambulances stuck in traffic, unable to move. Surely, with a known disruption and festive traffic building up, some preventive measures should have been taken. There were trucks and goods carriers everywhere—I could see at least 25 from my car alone. Restricting their daytime movement could have made a significant difference. Sir, could you please intervene and get the traffic police and the relevant authorities to coordinate an immediate plan? Can non-essential heavy goods vehicle movement on this stretch be restricted until Diwali, with movement permitted only between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.? Emergency access also needs to be actively protected. With pollution already so bad, hours of stationary traffic only make matters worse. This needs proactive management, clear accountability and someone willing to take charge. I am reaching out to you because I believe you are a sensible voice in the government who will listen and act. This is a sincere plea, sir. I do hope you will intervene before the situation gets worse. Thank you for hearing me out. Warm regards, Kapil

I’ve been fighting Narendra Modi and the RSS for over a decade now. I understand them like you would understand your opponent - inside out, like the back of my hand. The core characteristic of these people is cowardice. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Gyanesh Kumar and Ajit Doval, the villains of this story, are slowly finding the space closing around them. We are closing that space. Mr. Modi, do whatever you want. Call out all the police: 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, whatever you want. Arrest all the leaders. Arrest all the young people. Arrest us all. We are surrounding you, and we are not going to back down. Mark my words: we already have the information we need. We are going to defend our Constitution. We are going to protect the voice of the Indian people. And we are going to ensure that what was done to India over the last 10-15 years will never, ever be done again. Youth of India, I am proud of you. Keep protesting. We are standing with you. We are going to ensure that this regime and the people who have attacked our Constitution are defeated.

When Amazon hired me on an H-1B visa, Amazon was making losses for 10 straight years. It was operating out of a rented building where we worked on door desks in small cabins. I was in the initial team that built AWS. Today AWS contributes more than 60% to Amazon's profit. The stock price has gone 300x. Amazon's buildings have changed the skyline of downtown Seattle. Jeff Bezos went on to become the world's richest man. There were about a hundred H1B visa holders like me in the initial team of Amazon. Good luck building companies and wealth without these 'indentured servants'
Vice President JD Vance breaks down the data: "If you are working as an H-1B visa in the United States of America, you’re earning $20,000 less than an American citizen hired in the same position. If you were brought in by one of these foreign outsourcing firms, you’re making $48,000 less than an American citizen in a similar position. So I’m sure that everybody here understands the game that is being played. You bring in indentured servants from outside the country, you lay off American workers and, if you’re a corporation, you make a ton of money by under cutting the wages of American workers, replacing them with people who frankly shouldn’t be in the United States of America to begin with."

I used to drive past this spot twice a day on scooter from 2019 to 2024 to drop my wife off and pick her up from office. It never got this bad. Something has gone horribly wrong in Bengaluru's waste management system. That, or there is zero enforcement of illegal dumping laws.
A Bengaluru commuter has highlighted the poor condition of Wind Tunnel Road, showing a stretch littered with garbage, rubble and debris along the roadside. The video, shared by Instagram user recorded while travelling on the road from Murgeshpalya towards Embassy Golf Links Business Park. The creator says the stretch is part of her daily commute to work, highlighting the difficult conditions faced by people who use the road regularly. #Bengaluru #Garbage

The allegation against Gyanesh Kumar is that he has functioned as a dictator with no thought for ordinary people. He is not defending himself But curiously it is the BJP that keeps defending him. Why is Gyanesh so important to the BJP?
#WATCH | Delhi | BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad says, "Based on a media report in one newspaper, the way the opposition parties, especially Congress and particularly Rahul Gandhi, are making baseless and shameful allegations against the Election Commission is extremely unfortunate. We condemn this... Today, the Election Commission has issued a detailed press note. In the meeting that took place today, all three commissioners of the Election Commission were present together, which is part of this news report. It states that all the decisions regarding SIR were taken with the consensus of the Chief Election Commissioner and both Election Commissioners of the Election Commission. The second point mentioned is that it was launched in all states on 24.06.2025. It started first in Bihar, followed by actions in West Bengal and 30 other states. The Election Commission has specifically noted that on 27 May 2026, the Supreme Court deemed the entire SIR process to be appropriate... Who went to the Supreme Court to challenge the entire SIR process? The Congress party did, CPI(M) did, and TMC filed dozens of cases... Mamata Banerjee's government was completely wiped out there (in West Bengal). The Congress in Kerala considered this SIR to be right, saying it was because of it that they won... The first question to Rahul Gandhi is: why did you lie?..."

🚨COCKROACH JANTA PARTY’S THREE DEMANDS ON CEC GYANESH KUMAR🚨 Demand Number 1 -Gyanesh Kumar must resign within 48 hours. Initiate criminal proceedings against him. Answer who gave him the orders to steal votes. Demand Number 2 -Put on hold all upcoming elections. Freeze SIR immediately. Roll back the voters list to January 2025. Constitute an independent inquiry commission that commands public confidence to probe all SIR related actions. Supreme Court which has much to answer for legalising Gyanesh Kumar’s illegalities must immediately order seizing of SIR related files and records and submission to Court. Demand Number 3 Repeal the 2023 law on ECI appointments immediately. Draft a new law with active participation of civil society, an independent selection process that inspires public confidence. If the resignation does not come through in 48 hours, we will launch a nationwide agitation and will end it only when all demands are fulfilled. @Cockroachisback @abhijeet_dipke @AshutoshRanka
