Replying to @carame_liz_ed @relaxitsonlymee
imo the download button is for private use, not an invitation to download everything and build your own archive somewhere else like google drive. ao3's own TOS says writers own the copyright to their fics and reposts need thr writer's permission

🚨‼️ WHILE AO3 is down ‼️🚨 If you read fic from someone’s shared drive, please keep in mind that the authors won’t see any hits/kudos on their work. Once the site is back up, make sure to show those authors some love with kudos/comments. We must feed them if we want to eat

if ao3 means so much to you and is such a big part of your daily life that you feel the weight of its absence now, let it also be a reminder about the importance of leaving kudos and comments even if its just a simple "i loved this!" to show writers you care about their hard work

Just a gentle reminder that if you're accessing a writer's fics through someone else's links, please make sure you return to ao3 to leaves kudos and comments, or comment/share the original fic post here on twt. Engagement & interaction is a key motivator for us writers. 💜

So, should I make a google drive with links to my fics for everyone else? 😂

I hope everyone uses the ao3 downtime to think about one fic they loved reading and then goes to comment on it when the site is back up

what i hope for when i see alpha jk / omega jm tag on ao3:
TJ @ Huckleabbot factory (@bowlerrootx) profile pictureTJ @ Huckleabbot factory@bowlerrootxOct 28
Alpha who’s an exclusive bottom but doesn’t want to get bitched, is delighted when he finds a man w a huge cock on the apps, n the account says ‘omega’. He’s skeptical, thinks either it’s an alpha who chose the wrong label or a weird catfish. He decides to meet up anyway, only
