Yay! I could cry.
One of the pieces I edited through my @calgarylibrary / @CBCCalgary writing workshops just got shortlisted for a RTDNA award.
Misbah really put her heart into this piece and it opened such a valuable conversation.

How did you come to think the way you do? What were the important moments in your life that shaped this?
I love working with First Person authors. We issued a call-out today around the topic of Alberta separation. Share and apply.

What shapes your vote?
CBC got such great insight by running these for AB provincial election. Now there's a new chance to get writing support to share your views for the next federal election.

A story for all your picnics... 🙂
I love how the real story behind all of Calgary's parks is a couple key names and lots, and lots, and lots of regular people pitching in.

Super happy about this! It's also a win for community-driven journalism 😊

Secret Canada is the culmination of 20 months of investigate work, more than 500 FOIs, 200 interviews, and months upon months of gruelling data work by a team of people.
The first part of our reporting is now live. We have much more planned.

TOMORROW: Be part of our live audience as @AlbertaatNoon with @judyaldous goes live on location at @LethLib. We’ll be talking about why Lethbridge is the fastest growing small city in AB and chatting with people who have recently made the move. Meet & greet with treats to follow.
The team I’ve been supporting at CBC has now talked with 100 regular Albertans.
And not for just a quick sound bite 🙂
Of note, less polarization than expected, more people angry at mudslinging. Lots of longing for a better path. #ableg #abpoli cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/w…
