Building the future of intelligence requires a global effort.
Orbital (@orbitaldotinc) is announcing a major partnership today with Reflex Aerospace (@reflexaerospace) of Germany, a leading European satellite bus maker, to develop orbital data center satellites leveraging Reflex's proven satellite bus platform.
Under the exclusive design-and-development deal, Reflex will bring the “brains” of the spacecraft — its flight-tested bus — while Orbital's engineers focus on the compute payload, targeting a 2028 launch.
The companies' engineering teams in Los Angeles and Berlin have been working closely across the Atlantic together to solve major thermal, power, and mechanical issues presented by the requirements of the satellite.

Congrats to our partners @reflexaerospace — @nvidia is investing to scale their satellite production in Germany. Reflex is delivering satellites in 9–12 months, built in Europe, and is Orbital's bus partner for our Orbital-1 class orbital compute satellites.

Elon Musk built Starlink by saving American taxpayers' money.
If it weren't for SpaceX, the US would still be relying on Russia for access to space.
Just imagine that.
Morgan Stanley's new investor note calls distributed inference the most overlooked growth story in space, tied to the regulatory and social angst already building around data centers.
Expect it to break out within the year, it says.
Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas in new @SpaceX note:
"The part of the SpaceX story that we believe holds the greatest growth potential, and that is being largely ignored/not contemplated by investors, is the Distributed Inference Cloud. Investors are already witnessing some degree of corporate/regulatory/social angst toward data centers. We see SPCX's efforts as instrumental in helping to get the Super Intelligence Economy and the Physical Intelligence Economy on the next leg of growth and economic development. As the 'density' of physical agents increases, we expect incrementally greater intelligence capability of the collective mobile swarm.
We ask investors to be prepared to hear about the Distributed Inference Cloud and physical AI swarms in the coming year. From our seat, we think this subject is very close to breaking out in the investor discussion. Gradually… then suddenly."
Starlink is much needed in places where there is no connectivity.
Every country has dead zones. No country is perfect.
But installing terrestrial towers everywhere is not economically feasible. Starlink helps bridge that gap.
BREAKING: Elon Musk just dismantled the “Starlink will be unaffordable in India” narrative pushed by Ambani’s internet shills. He confirmed that SpaceX will make pricing affordable for Indian consumers.
It’s high time Indian customers had more options and the freedom to choose the service that works best for them. Starlink deserves a fair chance to compete in India.
Healthy competition benefits consumers by pushing providers to offer better prices, better service and better connectivity.
Elon is right to push for more choice. Let Starlink compete. Let Indians decide.
AI from space will be directly beamed onto your smartphone via Starlink satellites.
Opportunity Costs and the Price of Starship

Interesting paper on how the economically rational price for Starship launches is likely to be much higher than many assume rationalfutures.com/2025/10/…
Amazon has built 1,000 satellites, and several more come off the line every day.
Space infrastructure is now being built at factory speed.
Connectivity went up first.
Compute is next.
Real competition for Starlink is coming very, very soon. I spoke with the principals behind Amazon Leo about the road to get here, and how they plan to compete.

Texas just told data centers to wait.
ERCOT's queue for large new loads jumped from 63 GW to 474 GW in about 18 months, most of it data centers. The grid couldn't tell real projects from speculative ones, communities wanted answers on water, noise and power bills, and the state hit pause.
That pattern is spreading. New York has paused permits for large data centers for a year. Lawmakers in 15 states have weighed moratoriums or major restrictions. In Q1 2026 alone, local opposition blocked or delayed about $130B of US data center projects.
The bottleneck for AI is increasingly not chips. Compute demand is growing faster than the ground will host it. Some of it has to go up.
Love thy neighbor.
