Jack Posobiec is not a retired Intel officer. He was separated from the Navy Reserve as an O-2 and not even able to be promoted to O-3 (an automatic promotion). He had his security clearance suspended and was moved to a collateral duty as urinalysis coordinator.

Murphy is awake, alert, and responding well to treatment at Johns Hopkins. Doctors are encouraged by his progress and optimistic he will make a full recovery.
