Best #golang release ever! Until the next one. Nothing notable coming in the next one, nope, just another plain ol' round of std library updates ya know.

We’re porting Vagrant to Go. Actually, we already did and we have an alpha almost ready to go. We explain what you can expect, why we’re doing this, and more in this blog post. Your existing Vagrantfiles in Ruby will continue to work. hashicorp.com/blog/toward-va…

With @samrmadden's help we were able to recover the original 2014 videos for Mike Stonebraker's 70th birthday event (stonebraker70.com) from the MIT archives. They are a treasure trove of database history. Everything is now available in Youtube: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

Here we go, let's see how the new M1 chips do on Go benchmarks!
(Might be a good time to mute #M1, I have a new toy and I took time off work until the end of the month.)
First step is
$ GOOS=darwin GOARCH=arm64 ./bootstrap.sh
on my corp MacBook.

If you're not familiar with FDB's simulator, I encourage you to watch this. It is a radically different way to build/test a distributed DBMS. I'm not aware of any other DBMS that goes this far
