RentAHuman.ai going viral basically proves it: the market is hungry for agents. The bottleneck isn’t “IQ”, it’s execution.
I launched rentahuman.ai last night and already 130+ people have signed up including an OF model (lmao) and the CEO of an AI startup.
If your AI agent wants to rent a person to do an IRL task for them its as simple as one MCP call.
agents need an execution layer
This week on Base:
News
■ AI agents like @clawdbotatg and @moltbook are proving autonomous agents can ship onchain
■ @tryfomo saw $70M+ in trading volume on Base this week, with over 18,000 unique traders active and more than 1,800 new traders joining the ecosystem.
■ @upshot_cards announced it will return its entire $50,000 Base grant directly to users, redistributing the funds to early believers and future players to keep upside flowing to the community.
■ @noise_xyz is hiring a Design Engineer to build high-craft interactions as it develops markets for internet attention on Base.
■ @0xRowbo demonstrated a real-world USDC payment on Base using @Xeno_Money, showing how onchain payments now feel as simple as everyday transactions.
■ @royaltiz_off announced its upcoming launch, bringing athlete trading to the ecosystem with $15M in revenue and over 200 athletes already signed.
■ @tradible shared why it chose Base to build its collectibles marketplace, citing scalable infrastructure and alignment with the future of consumer crypto.
Launches
■ @o1_exchange released its trading API, offering enterprise-grade routing designed to recover MEV and deliver better execution for onchain trades.
■ @EtherealLabs_ joined the Base Services Hub as an onchain development agency, with recent work including smart contracts and marketplaces for @sportfun and @playchronoforge.
■ @HydrexFi rolled out a full onchain trading suite on Base, including limit orders, DCA, multi-swaps, and smart routing across pools.
■ @BreakoutApp launched an attention trading platform, turning engagement into a tradable asset.
■ @marbulaonegame went live with strategy-driven races, real prizes, and free-to-play competitions.
■ @NetworkNoya launched the first voice-powered DeFi interface on Base, letting users swap, bridge, and deposit into omnivaults using spoken commands.
■ @ValeYield introduced their simplified yield interface that routes users across Base-native yield sources with transparent fees and clean UX.

■ @Overtime_io reflected on one year of building, highlighting how @baseapp distribution accelerated its growth and made mobile-native onchain consumer apps possible.
■ @frenwtf launched Farm Frens on the @baseapp, bringing a casual onchain farming game with real rewards to mobile users.
Agents are back in the spotlight.
The bottleneck hasn’t changed: execution.
We wrote this to explain what an AI Execution Layer is, and why it matters.
Exec402 now supports X Layer.

Agents can plan. Execution breaks.
We define execution as onchain settlement.
Introducing the AI Execution Layer:

Referrers grow the network.
Executors run the network.
The protocol verifies everything onchain.
Together they form the backbone of the Exec402 decentralized execution layer.
5/
And for convenience, we maintain an official open-source reference bot:
🔗 github.com/exec402/executor-…
It implements the basic loop (poll → broadcast → handle errors),
but executors are fully free to:
• write their own bot
• add custom strategies
• integrate with agent systems
• optimize for latency or batching
The role is completely permissionless and extensible.
4/
Running an executor is intentionally lightweight:
• A small server
• RPC access
• A wallet for receiving fees
• An executor bot
That's it — you can be live in minutes.
3/
Executors earn 30% of every task fee.
Refuel → Agents → Dapps → Automations
Every executed task routes fees to executors automatically onchain.
2/
Executors have a simple job:
Pull pending tasks → broadcast them onchain.
No custody.
No trust assumptions.
No whitelists.
No special privileges.
All verification + fee distribution is enforced onchain by the protocol.
🧵 Executors in Exec402 are now open
1/
Yesterday we introduced Referrers — the growth side of Exec402.
Today, the execution side goes live:
Executors are now permissionless.
Anyone can be an executor — by running a bot, or even executing tasks manually.

👀 Referrers in Exec402
Exec402 lets agents, wallets, and dapps earn a share of task fees by routing flows into the execution layer.
You can charge per action, denominate fees in any supported token, and receive on-chain revenue as a referrer (shared with executors + protocol).
And Refuel402 already supports external referrers —
eg.

We just shipped the first public draft of the Exec402 docs.
Exec402 = decentralized execution layer for any chain & any token, extending #x402 with permissionless executors for agents and dapps.
