3 Ways to build a decentralized database ⚡️
You can easily build a scalable, fast, decentralized, permanent, and immutable data store / database, using @ArweaveEco + @BundlrNetwork 🐘
It's fast, cheap (free for <100KB), holds arbitrary amounts of state and code, and there are multiple protocols that enable you to use or build things like custom or NoSQL data stores:
1. @warp_contracts + Smartweave
Smartweave is a smart contract protocol that allows developers to build permanent applications on top of Arweave.
When you publish a Smartweave contract, the program’s source code and its initial state is stored in an Arweave transaction.
When a user writes an update to a SmartWeave program, they write their inputs as a new Arweave transaction.
To calculate the state of the contract, a SmartWeave client uses the contract source code to execute the history of inputs sequentially. Invalid transactions are ignored.
Warp is a caching layer built on top of Smartweave and allows you to quickly retrieve data from contracts with a large number of state updates, but also offers instant transactions and contracts availability and finality.

2. @exmbuild + Smartweave
EXM is a language-agnostic serverless environment powered by Arweave, and enables developers to create permanent, serverless functions on the blockchain.
EXM eliminates the need to understand smart contracts, transactions, or blocks to leverage blockchain technology.
EXM / Arweave provide something that traditional data stores do not - permanence. Once the data / transactions are stored, they can be retrieved and consumed forever (or as long as the network exists).
Some use cases are registries, games, CMSs, permanent data protocols, general data processing, and possibly even building a permanent NoSQL database.

3. @weave_db
Weave builds on @BundlrNetwork @ArweaveEco & @warp_contracts to enable a NoSQL Database as a smart contract.
You could think of it as a permanent @Firebase Firestore, with simple queries expressed as JSON arrays.
It enables cross-chain authentication - users can sign in using a variety of wallets including EVM and Arweave and features rapid data Indexing among other things.

When we created @exmbuild, the goals were simple: Onboarding and usage should take less time than current apps regardless of web3 or web2. I think we've done a pretty good job at this. Building on @exmbuild is frictionless and you can have it in prod in no time.

One metric I'm most excited about is trying to get the onboard-->usage time down as low as possible.
The faster people can start using a tool, the greater the chance that tool has at bringing more people to use it.
@exmbuild has managed to bring this time under 1 minute.
