She tore up her own blouse to help a wounded comrade during the Fort Hood shooting, using it to make a tourniquet. What she didn't realize was that she had also been shot in the back. She was only 19 years old. Her name was Amber Pfund, a young soldier from the small town of Random Lake, Wisconsin, serving at Fort Hood, Texas. It was Thursday, November 5, 2009, at approximately 1:30 p.m. Amber was inside a processing center where soldiers were preparing for deployment. It had been an ordinary day until a gunman suddenly opened fire. Screams filled the building. People fell to the ground. Soldiers on the post were unarmed, and chaos erupted. But Amber did not freeze. She ran toward the wounded. She tore up her blouse, fashioned a tourniquet, and tied it around an injured comrade to help stop the bleeding. She continued moving from one wounded person to another, refusing to stop and think about her own safety. She was so focused on helping others that she never realized a bullet had struck her in the back. She discovered she had been shot only later, while receiving treatment in an emergency room. That evening, she called her mother, Lisa Pfund, who was relieved to hear from her daughter. Amber explained what had happened and told her that she hadn't even known she had been hit. The November 5 attack claimed 13 lives and wounded 31 others, making it the deadliest mass shooting ever to take place on a U.S. military installation. Amber survived. Five days later, President Barack Obama visited Fort Hood, where approximately 5,000 people gathered for a memorial service. He shared the stories of those who had been killed and also recognized the courage of those who survived. Among them was Amber. He described how determined she had been to help others, explaining that she did not realize for some time that she had been shot in the back. The following day, First Lady Michelle Obama also shared Amber's story. She had met the young soldier at Fort Hood, where Amber explained what mattered most to her: the safety of her fellow soldiers was her number one priority. In February 2010, Amber returned home to Random Lake, Wisconsin, where her community welcomed her as a hero. But Amber humbly rejected that description. She insisted she was not a hero; she was simply a soldier doing what she believed she had to do. Although she survived, she continued living with the physical and emotional scars of that terrible day. Years later, the Army announced that Purple Hearts would be awarded to victims of the Fort Hood attack. Amber was among those recognized for her wounds. At just 19 years old, she ran toward danger to save others, never realizing that she herself had been wounded. She put her fellow soldiers' lives ahead of her own and kept helping even while bleeding. Amber Pfund represents the courage, selflessness, and dedication of a soldier who never stopped caring for her comrades. Some heroes don't realize they're heroes. They simply do what needs to be done.

Well said.
In the hours after the midterms, it is worth saying this plainly: Elon Musk is about to be hit with a fresh wave of concentrated hostility, and the rest of us who value what he is actually building should not pretend otherwise. A man who was once treated as a progressive technological hero with electric cars, reusable rockets, and an open internet - has become, in the eyes of much of the left, an apostate. He bought Twitter and refused to keep the old speech rules. He ran DOGE and cut programs the left considered sacred. He warned, repeatedly and without euphemism, that demographic and institutional trends could lock in one party control. He put his own money behind the other side. For that, the hatred is now open and concentrated. Starship is still the only credible path to making life multiplanetary. Starlink still connects people the old infrastructure never reached. Tesla still forced the entire auto industry to confront electric vehicles. Neuralink and xAI are still early attempts at expanding what a human mind and an artificial one can do together. The people who want to punish the man for his politics have not offered a substitute for the work. They have only offered the punishment. Standing by him requires noticing the pattern. The same voices that once celebrated the green-car pioneer now treat the multiplanetary goal as a distraction or a vanity. The same institutions that spent years demanding more regulation of speech on private platforms now treat an open platform as the greater danger. The consistency is not in the principles; it is in the target. When a single person both builds the hardware of the future and refuses to stay inside the approved narrative, the response is not engagement. It is a campaign to make the cost of that refusal higher than the benefit of continuing. The simple fact is that no one else is currently doing the combination of things Elon Musk is doing at the same scale, and probably never will. When the response is punishment instead of alternatives, the work that actually expands the frontier slows or stops. I support Elon because the work matters more than the noise, and he is one of the few people who seems to genuinely want humanity to have a future. ♥️

From another friend: JFK'S Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when DeGaulle decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaulle said he wanted all US military out of France as soon as possible. Rusk responded, "Does that include those who are buried here?" DeGaulle did not respond. You could have heard a pin drop. When in England, at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of 'empire building' by George Bush. He answered by saying, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those who did not return." You could have heard a pin drop. There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American. During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying, "Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intend to do, bomb them?" A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships. How many does France have?" You could have heard a pin drop. A U.S. Navy admiral was attending a naval conference that included admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian, and French navies at a cocktail reception. He found himself standing with a large group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks when a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, "Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?" Without hesitating, the American admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies, and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German." You could have heard a pin drop. AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE... Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on. "You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked sarcastically. Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously. "Then you should know enough to have your passport ready." The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it." "Impossible. Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in France!" The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to." You could have heard a pin drop. I am proud to be an American, and proud of this God given heritage!

If President Trump, at 80, can hold 44 rallies and 20 tele-rallies in a single month to help save America, all while working 24/7 as president without even accepting a salary, the least we can do is get off the couch and vote Red.

QUIT YOUR BITCHING!!!!!! Grandpa didn’t have a $90 month internet bill, a $130 phone bill, seven app subscriptions at $72 month, an Amazon addiction for $200 month, he didn’t have Netflix, Paramount or HBO for another $112 month and his haircuts didn’t need a ‘stylist’! I’m worn out hearing people moan, “Our grandparents could buy a house on one paycheck, but now we can’t even afford rent on two!” Yeah, maybe because Grandma wasn’t dropping half her income on $14 iced lattes and avocado toast shaped like art projects. Back then, if they wanted coffee, they boiled it at home in a dented pot. It tasted like burnt rubber and regret — but it woke you up and cleaned your pipes. And Grandma wasn’t “out to brunch.” You think she had time for mimosas and hashtags? She was making something called whatever’s left in the fridge and feeding six people with it. Don’t even start with Uber Eats. You think Grandpa was out here paying $38 to have a burger delivered three blocks away? Please. He grilled mystery meat on a rusted barbecue, and everyone called it dinner. Now people cry about being broke while sitting in a house full of gadgets. Two SUVs in the driveway, six streaming services, three air fryers, and matching tattoos that cost more than their light bill. You think Grandpa had a tattoo? He did. It said “Korea, 1951,” and it came with trauma, not Instagram likes. And the kids—Lord help us. “We can’t make ends meet, but Brayden needs the new iPhone!” No, he doesn’t. You’re handing an $1100 device to a child who still eats crayons and forgets to flush. When we were kids, there was one phone. It hung on the wall like a family relic. The cord stretched just far enough for you to whisper secrets before someone yelled, “Get off, I need to make a call!” And guess what? We lived. The TV? One. In the living room. With three channels and a dial that clicked like a safe. And if Dad wanted to watch bowling, you were a fan of bowling, end of story. Now there’s a flat screen in every room, the baby’s got an iPad, the dog’s got a camera, and everyone’s wondering why they can’t afford rent. Because you’re living like rock stars on retail salaries, that’s why. Grandpa wasn’t leasing Teslas or buying $12 smoothies called “Green Zen Awakening.” He drove a truck that coughed smoke, rattled like a storm, and smelled like oil and hard work. They lived within their means. Whatever Grandpa brought home on Friday — that’s what they had. They weren’t keeping up with the Joneses; they were keeping the lights on. So yeah, Grandpa bought a house on one salary. But he also didn’t have a gym membership, three delivery apps, and emotional support crystals on his nightstand. His only support system was Grandma, who told him to quit whining and mow the yard. Nowadays, everyone’s broke, anxious, and “manifesting abundance” while ordering tacos on DoorDash for the fourth time this week. It’s not the economy — it’s the lifestyle. Wake up, turn off your subscriptions, make your own coffee, and maybe—just maybe—you’ll smell the truth.

Chief Special Warfare Operator William Chad “Bill” Mulder, a highly decorated US Navy SEAL, died on June 9, 2017, in Boerne, Texas, 127 days after retiring from the Navy in January 2017. He was a combat veteran of multiple overseas deployments and received numerous awards, including three Bronze Stars with Valor, a Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, and others. According to accounts from his widow Sydney and the SEAL community, Mulder struggled with the cumulative effects of combat, including PTSD, traumatic brain injury, insomnia, anxiety, and related issues. On the day of his death, he was on a FaceTime call with his family when he showed a firearm and ended 🕊️ his life; police later found him in his vehicle in a parking lot. The Navy SEAL Foundation and other sources have publicly described his death as resulting from service-connected wounds. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. His story prompted congressional action, including the Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer William “Bill” Mulder (Ret.) Transition Improvement Act, aimed at improving support for veterans during the transition out of the military. #PTSDAwarness #PTSDVeterans #NAVYSEAL #USNAVY #RIP

🚨SPOT ON: Elon Musk summed up Charlie Kirk in one line, and it still hits just as hard. "He was killed because his words made a difference. He was showing people the light, and he was killed by the dark." Charlie never needed a weapon. He had a microphone, a folding table, and the courage to debate anyone who walked up. That's what scared them. They thought silencing him would end it. Instead, millions more picked up where he left off. The light is still winning. JUSTICE FOR CHARLIE. 🇺🇸
