Baller. Coast Guard is our rival at Kings Point and I tell people that the Coast Guard has a great mission helping people in need. Great example of courage by this young man.

Excellent work by Substack this morning with a lively crowd and dialogue. Stealers Wheel had it right and how I feel these days. Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, Here I am Stuck in the Middle With You. #GetUnstuckandLead
F3s Substack has the lead tomorrow. The leadership discussion is about schooling as part of a leadership development process. We’ll see you at 8:15 at the Cotswald Panera. @F3Metro @jrempson @ttcharlottenc @dreddcnc @f3_titan @f3backup @f3chowda

The SS Tiger (sinking) and under tow by the tug Relief after being torpedoed by U-754 on April 1, 1942. Under tow near Cape Henry, VA. Tiger, originally built as a freighter, was torpedoed by the German submarine U-754 just after midnight on 1 April 1942, after she had reduced speed to pick up a pilot before entering Chesapeake Bay. She sank in shallow water during salvage efforts on 2 April 1942. shipscribe.com/usnaux/ww1/sh…

#OTD 19 Oct 1943 a mine from U-220 struck the Delisle forward of the bridge. George C. Davis was First Assistant Engineer. All survivors were picked up within 30 minutes by the HMCS Miscou (T 277) and landed at St.Johns. No Casualties. uboat.net/allies/merchants/s…

Just started listening to this book. Very interesting. My wife is a teacher, and the description of some parents today is true. Less concern for their kids and more about being right. @stevemagness

Merchant Marine History.
#OTD 19 Oct 1941 the unarmed Lehigh was hit on the starboard side by one torpedo from U-126 about 82 miles west of Freetown. Lehigh was sunk 49 days before war was officially declared against the USA by the Axis, despite the American markings on the ship, which were clearly visible at the time of the attack. No Casualties uboat.net/allies/merchants/s…

Things I've been fortunate to do, and it was a lot of fun, plus the support was awesome. Glad to see the students at NC A&T & UNCG marching to stand up for their right to vote.
Walked in the NC A&T homecoming parade today with 50 men from @F3Greensboro @f3metro @F3RockHill Great experience and support with a little laughter from the crowd. My M is a Page Grad who was behind us.
