I really don’t like coming online to post my private life but I guess this is necessary.
I was assaulted and harassed by police officers at Somolu today.
They claimed that the vehicle that I have been driving for 5 years is stolen because a sticker that carries the plate number of the previous car owner was found on the top left corner of the windscreen of my vehicle
After giving them all my up-to-date car documents, including my proof of Ownership documents, they insist my car was a stolen vehicle. How is that possible when I have been renewing my papers and going for car inspections every year for the last 5 years ? Thier claim was just outrageous and wasn’t making any sense to me
One of them even went away with my car documents and I do not know where he went to and if he had gone to tamper with them. When I asked where my car papers were, one of them punched me in the chest 3 times. I have it on camera
I noticed a pattern of oppression and because I didn’t allow myself to be taken advantage of, they ended up rough handling me, holding me on my trousers like a common criminal and finally towing my car and confiscating in the street in front of their their station at Alade Police station, Balogun street Somolu. The environment do not seem safe and my car is a at risk of vandalism and worse getting stolen if it remains there overnight
Their intimidation was for me to be extorted and since I didn’t give them the chance to they decided to lay their hands on me and impound my car. One even called me a criminal in my face and threatened to shoot at me.
Please I need this post to reach the right authorities. I have called the police hotline designated to handle cases like this and for over 2 hours they kept telling me they will give me a call back. So at this point I am In the dark.
Please help me tag and bring the right authorities attention to this post. @AbimbolaShotayo @PoliceNG_CRU @CspIniedu @PoliceNG
I will be attaching video evidence of my assault.

Power delivery is measured by the light that reaches a home, the machine that runs in a factory and the business that stays open.
At the Nigeria Energy Leadership Summit 2026 in Lagos, I outlined our roadmap for a more stable grid, stronger transmission capacity and fresh investment. It rests on four priorities: enhancing energy zones, strengthening sector liquidity, optimising existing assets and expanding infrastructure for future demand. Three priority economic energy corridors, Lagos–Ogun, Benin–Enugu–Port Harcourt and Abuja–Kaduna–Kano, will align generation, transmission and distribution with real demand, so that reliable power drives industrial productivity and creates jobs.
To boost investor confidence, this administration has paid ₦1.23 trillion of an estimated ₦3.3 trillion in legacy sector debts dating back over a decade, while blocking leakages that could create new liabilities. Through the Presidential Metering Initiative, the Distribution Sector Recovery Programme and the Meter Acquisition Fund, we are cutting losses and easing pressure on sector finances.
We are committed to disciplined execution, coordination and performance that Nigerians can feel in their daily lives, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

I said I wasn't going to vote this coming election cuz of what I experienced last election and the anger of PO not winning, but nah, I've changed my mind, I'm def voting. tinubu must GO
I don’t know why you’re screaming ignorantly. He’s a public servant so of course his personal details are no secret. This same man wants to ruin your life and future by rigging a country’s whole election and you’re here worried about his safety? Misplaced priorities.
