FY-26 - 62 lakh crore in value for over ₹2000 txn! 62 lakh crore x 0.4% = 24,800 Crore per year. What is the cost of running UPI? Today it’s 0.4%, in future it will be increased. ₹2000 limit can become ₹500. It will happen over time. Currency is basic gvt responsibility. UPI is its complementary form. The gvt’s objective is cashless society.

Nothing is more upsetting than having a huge manel on stage being felicitated by more men, with women standing there holding trays of momentos and bouquets. Or just shuttling around. Just have men do this job too! Saw this recently at a big univ function and hated it.
