After some leg-shaking moments and a real mental challenge to lean backwards over the edge, I was ok, and once on the move it was great fun!

Today was the final commercial farm trip of the year that Richard @FarmersCompany & I have organised. We took Surrey Docks, Wellgate & Lambourne End young farmers to @Laverstoke buffalo farm to learn about commercial farms & careers in the industry; & it was another huge success!
We met the buffalo and calves, saw the dairy, tasted delicious mozarella and were impressed by the vast green waste composting we saw in action! 🐃🌱♻️

Somehow a whole week has gone by since the Mansion House Event. We’ve already seen some very generous donations and offers of support. I’m delighted to help raise the profile of all London’s incredible city farms and gain some much-needed financial support.

Lovely afternoon away from my desk, welcoming back some familiar faces from @Time_Talents & @CompassSE16 students for some great chats, animal cuddles, and a walk around the Farm. Fantastic to see our younger volunteers sharing their experiences and knowledge so confidently!
I’m always so impressed by our Young Farmers. They spoke so confidently and clearly to Southwark Council in our Positive Futures pitch - despite us having no time to prep together until we met in the council lobby.
Guinea pig cuddles were a very well-deserved reward after! 👏🏻
