These ā€œHow I’d Fix the Duoā€ posts people ate doing are a great way to show how good Apple is at what it does.

Yey, Gridstorm was approved by Apple after some review time limbo, and it has full support for iPhone Duo :)

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale. Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…

@theo Do you believe there's any way that using claude via T3 could use more of my Claude plan compared to using Claude desktop or CLI? Not sure if could be some another Anthropic being Anthropic case with 3rd party tools.

Could be just impression from my side, but raising in case you're getting similar feedback from others as another data point. (Nice work on T3 btw, it's really fun to use)

I just setup a new Apple Watch and received a notification. I'm not sure if I've heard this notification sound before (I've been using since the first version), but it's a good reminder to turn on silent mode =D Apple Watch should be silent mode by default.

The concert experience nowadays is pretty horrible. I basically only see phones with people filming the entire show. I get it, take some photos, I like memories too. But come on. I’m really tired of watching the concern thru other people’s phone screens :p

People say that Apple locks users into their ecosystem, but I think that’s the wrong way to phrase it. I’d say Apple offers a lot of conveniences that makes harder to leave. I’m on Linux now and can access basically everything I need through iCloud.com.

Notes, Calendar, Files, Photos, I have access to it all, but the convenience is gone, which isn’t the same as being ā€œlocked in.ā€ That said, if you depend on Xcode, like I do, then you’re locked in, but IMO, that’s understandable.

AI for developers is the new 3D printing: 99% of the time it’s used to improve the process itself, 1% of the time it’s used to create something actually useful

I’m pretty amazed by how many regressions Device Hub has. The concept is good, but Apple should have ensured feature parity with previous versions. I can't even use Shift + 1 for an ! or cmd + shift + A to toggle theme.

I appreciate the effort and complexity in redesigning an old tool, but there are way too many regressions that really impact productivity.
