We are delighted our innovative PSHE Resource is being made available on the @EducateAgainst platform.
Please read about it and use it in your classrooms. It is hugely impactful.
Hearing survivors' stories can help bring ideas to life in the classroom and have a greater impact for pupils.
Our latest blog by @FedMyVoice looks at their PSHE resource, which uses the stories of Holocaust survivors to combat antisemitism.

Everyone at The Fed My Voice Project wishes you a very happy birthday and a year ahead filled with good health, happiness and joy.
When My Voice launched in London in June 2023, we knew it was vital to include Mala's Holocaust testimony in our collection. Born in Poland, Mala's story is both remarkable and miraculous, demonstrating extraordinary courage and determination in the face of terror. As a young girl, Mala endured the murder of her parents and younger sister, Lusia, at the hands of the Nazis, yet somehow found the strength to survive.
The resulting My Voice book, โSay Their Nameโ is one of the jewels in our collection. Powerful, moving and deeply educational, it preserves every detail of Mala's fight for survival. At one point, facing deportation, she risked her life by pleading with a Nazi guard to allow her to return to the Piotrkรณw Ghetto and be reunited with her family. Later, at just 12 years old, she became a protector and caregiver to her five-year-old cousin, Hania, carrying the immense responsibility of keeping her alive against overwhelming odds.
Reflecting on that time, Mala told us:
โLooking back on it now, I canโt quite believe what I did. It was such a lot of responsibility and, really, I was just a child myself.โ
Today, at 96, Mala continues to visit schools, businesses and civic organisations, sharing her vital testimony with new generations. She is determined that people understand what happened to her, her family and millions of others during the Holocaust, ensuring that these stories are never forgotten and their names, when known, are remembered.
If you would like to learn more about Mala's extraordinary life, you can purchase a copy of Say Their Name, published in partnership with @yadvashemUK, here: myvoice.org.uk/book/say-theiโฆ
It is a captivating and inspiring read.
Happy birthday Mala and thank you for everything you continue to do to educate, inspire and remember.

Earlier this week we presented Ruth Vecht with her incredible Fed My Voice book, โA Lesson in Humanityโ.
Surrounded by family and friends and her younger sister Eva, Danish-born Ruth, 90, spoke about the wonderful Danes who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Jews when the Nazis tightened their grip on Denmark in 1943, offering safety and refuge in their summer houses and homes so they wouldnโt be deported.
Remarkably, of the 8,000 Jews in Denmark in 1943, only around 400 to 500 were deported, and all but 51 survived. โHumanity could learn a great deal from the Danes,โ said Ruth last night.
With the help of the Danish community, Ruthโs family crossed over to Sweden on Yom Kippur and remained there until the war ended.
After receiving her book, Ruth spoke about the day she returned to Denmark, the 28th May 1945, as, โthe happiest day of my life. I learned that you could go anywhere in the world, have nothing and still be a good Jew. And I knew then I was going to have lots of children and tell them what I knew.โ
Ruth was true to her word. She came over to the UK as an au pair when she was 19, married Aron Vecht and they went on to have six children, 24 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.
Ruthโs Fed My Voice book, โA Lesson in Humanityโ is the 57th book in the My Voice collection and takes on even greater significance in this time of growing antisemitism. As Lauren Libbert, My Voiceโs London Project Lead, said at the presentation: โIt stands as a beacon of hope and shows how a nation and its citizens can lead with humanity, courage and dignity, and push against the tide.โ

"The Fed is whole person care"
We are very proud that Prime Minister @andyburnham once again mentioned The Fed as the true example of what "whole person care should be."
The Prime Minister has visited The Fed on numerous occasions, and his comments are a tribute to our remarkable colleagues, whose dedication, compassion and professionalism enrich the lives of residents and tenants at Heathlands Village, as well as supporting one in seven Jewish households across Greater Manchester.
We welcome the Prime Minister's commitment to fixing the many challenges the care sector face and stand ready to support and advise if required.

In this moving eulogy at the recent stone setting of Holocaust Survivor Ike (Itzick) Alterman BEM, Raphi Bloom reflects on a man who refused to be defined by the horrors he endured, choosing instead to build a life based on integrity, kindness, family, faith and hope.
Ike taught that while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can choose how we respond. His word was his bond, his family was at the centre of everything, and his answer to hatred was never bitterness - it was love, continuity and a determination to leave the world better than he found it.
As part of the Fed My Voice Project, we are proud to continue sharing the lessons Ike dedicated his life to teaching: that kindness matters, hatred must never win, and our lives are ultimately defined not by our circumstances, but by the choices we make.
๐ฅ Watch and remember an extraordinary man whose legacy continues to inspire future generations.

It was incredibly special to witness the moment former hostage Eliya Cohen saw the Manchester United shirt we had personalised for him- bearing his name and the number 18, โChaiโ, symbolising life - at our recent Fed and MDA UK event in Manchester.
The shirt was presented by Raphi Bloom, The Fedโs Director of Fundraising and lead of the My Voice Project - also, notably, a lifelong Liverpool fan. As he put it: โIt takes a special person and a truly special occasion for me to touch this shirtโฆ and this was definitely one of those.โ

๐ท Watch & Listen to Sam Laskier z'l
Yom HaShoah - This is how memory speaks
As we approach Yom HaShoah, we are honoured to share this short and deeply moving audio testimony from the late My Voice Holocaust Survivor Storyteller, Sam Laskier zโl.
In his own words, Sam speaks about surviving the Warsaw Ghetto and AuschwitzโBirkenau, enduring the unimaginable brutality of the Nazis, and finding the strength to rebuild his life.
He tells of coming to the UK as a young survivor, spending time being rehabilitated in Windermere, and going on to marry, raise a family, and contribute so much to the country that gave him refuge.
This is not just history.
It is lived truth.
A voice that must be heard.
A testimony that must never be forgotten.
As the Survivor generation fades from view, listening to their voices becomes an act of remembrance โ and an act of responsibility.
We remember Sam. We honour his legacy. And we bear witness.

When the world feels loud, getting lost in a good book becomes a refuge.
Our My Voice storytellers know only too well about the desire to escape from reality and remind us how stories can be lifelines โ sources of hope, imagination and survival!
Anne Super, hidden as a child in Poland during the Holocaust, found safety and escape in the books that filled her aunt Matusiaโs home. As she recalls in her my voice book, โCitizen of the Worldโ:
โI read and read, and this love of books has stayed with me. I dive into books. Life was so abominable in Poland that you had to escape, and my escape was books!โ

It was wonderful to take Fed My Voice Storyteller Lydia Tischler into global law firm Withers last week as part of their Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration to show the remarkable film of her My Voice life story book โFreud, Hitler and Me.โ
Over 70+ members of the law firm were there in person, with more watching the live stream online, and everyone was blown away by the film and by Lydia herself, who answered questions afterwards in her usual inimitable, intelligent, witty style.
Lydia, 97, from Ostrava in the Czech Republic came to the UK as a refugee in 1945 after surviving the horrors of Auschwitz and the Theresienstadt Ghetto.
She still works as a child psychotherapist and was sporting the MBE medal she was awarded earlier in the week at Windsor Castle by Princess Anne for her services to child psychology and Holocaust education.
