The Black List (@theblcklst) and Women in Film LA (@womeninfilm) have collaborated on their 2019 Residency Program for six women writers to receive mentorship and work on their scripts over the course of the year. #FemaleACEs #thefutureisfemale #bethechange
Their program and others like it serve as a model for how the industry can uplift the voices #femalefilmmakers and create space for them to create narratives that spotlight the experiences of women. #femaleempowerment #womeninentertainment #womeninfilm
A study of 970 independent films published by the Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film shows that the number of women working as directors, producers, executive producers, writers, and editors increased overall from 29% to 32% in the past year. #FemaleACEs
Despite the slow increase in #GenderEquality, we thank all of the #womeninfilm who strive to #bethechange we want to see in the industry. #thefutureisfemale #femaleempowerment
