Big launch at the office today! So you see, HR technology in Africa has largely been built for people who sit at a desk, whereas most of Africa's workforce doesn’t. Even the guys who do, sometimes don’t want to log in to a whole new system to carry out simple tasks. So today, @getPaidHR is launching WhatsApp and USSD access across Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. Employees can now check or download their payslips, request leave and access their earned wages without downloading an app or logging into a portal. For employers, this means every worker gets the same HR experience as your office staff, whether they are on a site, in a warehouse, at a branch or on a shift. It needs no new hardware and no new app. Personally, this is a massive milestone for me. I’ve always wanted to break the barriers and obstacles of adoption on our platform and I’m more than proud of the team who worked on this to give thousands of people on the PaidHR platform more access to the life-improving tools we built for them. Shout out to @lekanutty and the whole team. Introduce me to your HR team, finance or ops teams. Let’s elevate the work experience for you and them.

London! 🇬🇧 We’re incredibly excited for the Arc mainnet launch on the 16th of September. To mark the occasion, we’ve partnered with @arc and @encodeclub to host a hands-on technical deep dive on the 17th into building fintech and payment applications on Arc. Starting with a working app prototype, our Co-founder and CEO, Abdulfatai Suleiman (@iamnotstatic), will show you how to turn it into an end-to-end payment experience using Blockradar. We’ll code along to add Arc wallets, fiat rails, stablecoin payments, and bridging to Arc, connecting everything into a working fintech application. Bring your laptop, your project and anything you’re currently stuck on. Register: luma.com/encode-lwek

Businesses selling on Instagram & WhatsApp move way more volumes combined than Jumia + Konga. @CatlogShop is building specifically for these businesses. We’re launching something very interesting really soon.

This is a very important question; it is not only a Nigerian problem. I see it in other African countries, and these are my thoughts: 1. I think first, it is security. People fear links and the hijacking of their devices, and a website is a link. 2. Social media also provides a lot of "community safety" as they can see comments from those who have interacted with the seller before in real time. It is also where the market is active, and you can be more visible. 3. Mobile distribution is much more efficient when it comes to customer service. A cousin runs most of his online sales and customer service requests via Instagram and WhatsApp. Someone hacked his Instagram last week, and he almost went mental. I found out he does hundreds of millions in sales via Instagram alone. It is fascinating. People simply prefer to contact the seller via WhatsApp as it is cheaper and faster. Many sales inquiries also come through WhatsApp.

WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK IS NAVIER STOKES?
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
