I may or may not have spent a *bit* of time this morning recreating the new iPhone Duo folding animation. I’m using the MacBook’s screen hinge sensor (found by @samhenrigold), ScreenCaptureKit, and whole load of private CoreAnimation API… 🫠

The package/internal API of swift framework can be easily hacked by adding it in swiftinterface. But what if you want to call some non-inlined private API directly in Swift? (Not by load/dyld stuff) The answer is _private(sourceFile:) which is also used in SwiftUI.Preview.

There’s a sort of comfort that comes from working in UIKit. You just know everything is going to work exactly the way you intended. If there’s any jank it’s usually your fault and the path to fixing is clear and reasonable

Another cheeky UIMenu private API 👀 `setHeaderViewProvider(_:)` lets you supply a custom view as a global header for your menu. It's quite similar to UICustomViewMenuElement, but the difference here is that the item can't be selected. But you _can_ add interactive UI elements.
