I think one of the biggest problems with creator marketing is that the person who understands the distribution best usually has no incentive to maximize it.
A creator knows exactly what will work on their page, but on a flat-rate deal they get paid the same whether the post gets 20k views or 2M.
Performance-based delivery flips that.
Now you can have 20 creators competing over the same budget, all trying to figure out how to make the brand fit naturally into content that actually goes viral.
The creator gets to play the game they already love playing.
The brand gets an army of people who understand culture better than almost anyone, all trying to make people care about it.
The views are the measurable outcome.
The bigger side effect is the brand starts accumulating aura.
And the economics are better too.
We cap how many views a creator can earn on each post, so the brand’s maximum liability can still be lower than a traditional flat fee.
But the creator can take 10 shots on goal, iterate, test different ideas, and hunt for the one that hits.
The brand doesn’t pay for the nine misses.
It pays for the winner.
