remember, it's all 100% self-inflicted elected to close the border, reduce cost of living, and end forever foreign wars instead they engaged in: performative theatrics in blue cities instead of durable border policy loud trade wars with everyone all at once instead of tactical engagement with China + strategic re-shoring of critical industries poking every ally in the world in the eye simultaneously instead of doubling down on the ones which will matter for the next century right before starting a war of choice with Iran at the apparent behest of Israel skyrocketing the price of energy and most other things, making people feel poor and helpless, while engaging in pointless vanity projects putting their name on everything all done simultaneously with the most corrupt and grift-laden admin in recent memory and what, they just thought that the voters wouldn't care?? lmao

There are a few differentiating factors when it comes to the 7 month accumulation that occurred after the initial move upwards after FTX in 2023. > Psychologically the market scar was deep with a lack of systemic trust. > Spot ETFs were not live and the resulting move upwards was driven by ETF listings. History rhymes but the dynamics here are different I don't view this current accumulation phase lasting for 7 months. The debasement trade is back on and any uncertainty clearing events I expect demand to kick back in. You had a full year to bear post. Now is not the time. $BTC

This is one of the product releases you glance over and don't take seriously but you should. Earn+ will be one of the killer features for Ethena Pay that is almost impossible to compete with for dollar savings at scale. I'd hope I'm within the top ~5% of DeFi power users, but I don't even spend the time and energy to optimize DeFi loops across multiple chains and lending markets which requires 24/7 attention. This is a one-click access point to optimized levered USDe rewards with the capability to operate cross chain from a single vault with no management of debt positions required at all. This is the highest unincentivized reward rate on dollars at multi-billion scale with a simple one-click user experience that has averaged ~10-15% APY even during the bear market, and much higher in the bull market. Available exclusively on Ethena Pay 🌍.

Lending, spot DEX exchanges, and yield protocols are about to become extremely appealing from an R:R perspective. DegenSpartan bull market is going to return to DeFi Summer names. I'm nearly certain of it, here's why and how to position for it: The Tokenization Supercycle is the most powerful undercurrent in the entire industry. Nothing else compares. It's a multi year secular trend to bring trillions of dollars of assets onchain, which will grow DeFi value by 50x or more. It's going to happen lightning fast, as well. In addition to this force, a brutal bear market where $BTC only went down -50% but the alt complex lost 95% of value has created a seismic shake up in the philosophy of the industry's greatest investors: they are no longer settling for narratives and memetics, they want to see value and economics. Founders are forced to adapt to the new climate to produce the same results as before. (Many got rich without producing a ton of value, who will always exist in the industry, yet are now watching from the sidelines in a way...) This is bullish. Meanhwile, one can guess what these protocols are doing? Building real businesses. Building out better token structures. Thinking long-term and onboarding institutional players. $ENA is one that comes directly to mind here but also $UNI, $AAVE, and to some extent $LINK. These protocols are improving their unit economics at the same that Wall Street is realizing they are 5 years behind onchain finance is about to swallow some part of their flow. (They're in trouble). Meanwhile, protocols with battle-tested smart contracts, efficient business lines, and a real founder presence with institutional allocators will re-rate hard. $PENDLE & $MORPHO come to mind here. The game for founders is a lot harder now, which in a way, makes our life easier as investors. Also, when the TL starts talking shit about Stani and Aave - it’s hard not to get perked up about DeFi OG tokens. Higher.

You can be authentic and hardworking and still struggle to find your footing if you’re in the wrong environment. -A fun person trapped in the wrong city. -A loving partner in a relationship that won’t reciprocate. -A great entrepreneur stuck in the wrong business. Think about your placement as much as your performance. Plant yourself where you can thrive.

Why did we launch our own stablecoin? Because $300M+ in stablecoins were sitting on ether․fi doing nothing. And that’s not how a neobank should work. ether․fi USD changes that. One native dollar across every product we ship: card, vaults, borrow, trade, send. Powered by @ethena Whitelabel. We didn’t build stablecoin infrastructure from scratch. Ethena already solved the hard parts. Reserves, minting, redemption, compliance, KYB, all managed end to end. We choose the reserve mix based on our risk preferences, they run the operations. What this means for you? The dollars between your swipes, the balance you haven’t deployed into a vault, the USDC sitting in your account after a top-up. None of it sits idle anymore.

Revenue Meta is fantastic and we really are seeing it spread and adopted by S tier operators. It's so exciting, you can just own these assets and hold. No doubt in my mind about this. Tokens are becoming value accretive again. Hyperliquid & Tradexyz. Ethena & StablecoinX. USD AI. Venice. The best projects create the best outcomes and everyone follows. Nature is finally healing.
The Copernican Model Over the last few months, I’ve been studying the crypto models that seem to be discussed on a "fundamentals" basis: HYPE/Aave/Venice/etc, following the users/ revenue/relationship between a useful product and its token - all to create a sort of "value accural ontology." This is a case study from that research. The reason was more selfish: I wanted to understand which models work when your business has to interact with the "real world," namely for how we want to take @usdai_official for the most alignemnt As a founder, I’ve had doors literally shut on my face when we started because we’re “crypto” (literally left in the waiting room like a tv show). I still believe tokenization is one of the most important technologies we have today. But the institutions we need to work with often want a equity counterparty, a board, and a contract. You just wont get around this for the next 10 years (no a cayman foundation doesnt work) That experience has made me increasingly interested in the role of an equity surrogate: an independent operating business that connects a network to the world outside it.. but frankly there werent many clean examples out there without value destruction. The case I keep returning to is @tradexyz and Hyperliquid.. and im not really sure they even know how symbiotic of a relationship they created. They technically SHOULD be the same team.. but they are divided across the river due to regulatory issues, while being symbiotic Consider the S&P 500 agreement, they licensed the benchmark to tradexyz for a perpetual market: the institutional relationship sits with the company, but the product runs on the network. tradexyz can negotiate licenses, develop products, operate markets, and build distribution. Hyperliquid provides shared execution and settlement infrastructure. And if theres a company that ever wants "exposure" to the Hyperliquid business, but they just cant buy a "token" (and believe me, it's super super hard to get a traditional enterprise to buy a token, it doesnt fucking matter if you have an ETF, you literally have to convince a boomer board to do it and get the infrastructure set up to do it). Instaed, they could just invest in this equity, as it is not burning the HYPE it buys, but is increasing its share of it. so instead of buyback-n-burn, its closer to commit-n-compound. I’ve started thinking about this as a value-accrual architecture, with two different forms of capital (terms best described by a16z crypto's post in 2025): Network asset: scarcity at the core. - Its supply discipline can become more credible, its economics more programmatic, and its operation less dependent on any single company. - It coordinates shared infrastructure and connects activity across many businesses to a common asset. - That is what I mean by a progressively hardening asset. The scarcity and independence have to be earned through the design of the system. - Not capital intensive, as it must be smart contract based. - Can often place be the seat of the "decentralized security" - as there is no central underwriter. If HYPE was a company.. itd be regulated out of the wazoo. Enterprise equity: elasticity at the edge. - A company can issue shares, raise capital, hire people, acquire licenses, and build products. - Its capital structure can expand with the work required to bring the network into the real world. - New shares dilute ownership percentages, but productive investment can increase value per share. - That ability to finance expansion is why I think of equity as elastic - This is the part where its OK to be regulated, because most of the regulational burden is held by HYPE, theyre just asset issuers. These different traits are the reason to combine them. An enterprise can raise the capital to grow while the network maintains its own supply discipline. The connection is the activity that expansion creates, and the mechanisms that route value from that activity back to the network. Hyperliquid makes part of that relationship explicit. Trading generates fees for the deployer and the protocol. The Assistance Fund (insurance) automatically converts its allocated fees into HYPE, which the documentation specifies is burned. Hyperliquid fee mechanics The broader strategy I take from this is Commit & Compound that is conducted around the equity enterprise. It's effectively what a DAT 2.0 would do: create a business first, then max-bid HYPE with that entity, then get new investors to invest in the convexity of HYPE^2. Build a useful business around the network. Commit capital to its asset. Retain exposure to the infrastructure your business helps make more valuable. For a company that accumulates and holds the network asset, growing enterprise value and participating in network value become connected opportunities. There is a business to capitalize and a shared ecosystem in which to hold an economic stake. That is why I find the assumption that every successful application eventually needs its own token less compelling. Building a valuable company around an existing network asset is a meaningful strategy in its own right. Notice how much kinetic language I’m using: commitment, circulation, gravity I think network assets and enterprise assets represent different forms of gravity HYPE is the sun: the network asset at the center tradexyz equity is a planet: an enterprise building its business around that network Its real-world integrations are moons: the licenses, institutional relationships, and distribution channels that gather around the enterprise and extend its reach Enterprise value forms around network value. Real-world relationships form around enterprise value. Their activity feeds back into the shared system. Personally, I think the greatest value can ultimately accrue at the network level. But that belief has to be substantiated by the businesses being built around it: real users, useful products, liquidity, and recurring economic activity. A token doesn’t acquire gravity simply because we call it a network asset. This is the distinction I found useful in a16z’s writing: can the network function and accrue value independently of the original company? Can other businesses build on it and contribute to its economics? The company can become a great business. The network can become the foundation for many great businesses. Scarcity at the core. Productive expansion around it. I’ve learned a lot from this Commit & Compound structure, with a Copernican asset at the center. It has changed how I’m thinking about USDAI and CHIP. More on that in the next post

$USDE $ENA: Visa just announced that its Visa Direct stablecoin payments infrastructure is moving from pilot to commercial production, enabling businesses to use stablecoins to fund cross-border payments across more than 180 countries. Stablecoins are moving beyond crypto and becoming integrated into the plumbing of the global financial system. Implications for $ENA and Ethena's $USDe: As traditional financial institutions adopt stablecoins for payments, settlement and treasury management, demand for digital dollars should accelerate. While Visa's initial deployment uses USDC, it validates the enormous addressable market for Ethena's USDe, USDtb, white-label stablecoins and Ethena Pay. The opportunity isn't just facilitating transactions, but capturing the growing balances that businesses and consumers (Neobanks!) maintain in digital dollars. Stablecoins are becoming an increasingly important part of global financial infrastructure, reinforcing US dollar hegemony and creating a massive new source of demand for dollar-denominated assets. Ethena is positioned to be a major beneficiary of this secular shift. As adoption drives USDe supply higher, the resulting revenue growth and eventual ENA buybacks. businesswire.com/news/home/2…

A digital asset treasury should be more than a passive vehicle for its ecosystem. Our CEO Christopher Jensen on how StablecoinX can serve as the institutional gateway between Ethena and TradFi: a two-way bridge that distributes Ethena's products into TradFi and connects new institutional users and capital into Ethena's expanding yield layer.
A DAT Is Not a Megaphone Anymore. It Is a Distribution Channel. Panelists Christopher Jensen (@jensane2001, @stablecoin_x), Hyunsu Jung (@hyperiondefi) and Kevin Lepsoe (@lepsoe, @ETHGasOfficial) discussed "Digital Asset Treasury: The New Frontier of Corporate Finance." What is a DAT actually for? Not promotion, and Jensen said it plainly. His StablecoinX holds roughly 20% of Ethena's total token supply. "DAT companies are no longer simply businesses that promote or speak for a specific digital asset." His reframe: the ecosystems behind these assets contain real products, and a DAT can push those products through distribution channels protocols cannot reach directly. Holding company to distribution platform is a different business, and he called the shift a significant one for the category. Is accumulating the job? No, and Jung of Hyperion DeFi treated that as an obligation rather than an option. What DATs need to do is go beyond continuing to accumulate and consistently contribute to the growth of those ecosystems, which means putting the balance sheet backed by those holdings to practical use. His own example: when new markets or products launch on Hyperliquid, Hyperion can supply capital and infrastructure and share in the resulting revenue, while building credit and trading infrastructure for participants entering the ecosystem. So how should anyone value these companies? This is the consequence nobody has priced yet. Jensen's read is that market cap to modified net asset value is the first metric comparing across DATs, but over time they get valued as a sum of their parts. Treasury assets on one side, operating businesses using those assets on the other, and the operating side judged on revenue, customers and ARR like any other company. If DATs start trading on ARR instead of token beta, the whole category re-rates on operations.
