We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

🚨 A secret US military installation called CAMP SIERRA was set up inside Britain's RAF Akrotiri base on Cyprus during the Gaza genocide • The facility was operational by January 2024, just three months after Israel began its assault on Gaza • CAMP SIERRA had 12 diesel-powered generators in January 2024, doubling to 24 by June • US documents show orders for tens of thousands of gallons of diesel to keep the installation running • American military personnel escorted contractors delivering fuel directly to the generators • US Air Force used RAF Akrotiri for secret transfers of American weapons and special forces to Israel throughout the genocide What was CAMP SIERRA for?

Some people are responding to the headline of my latest article on the film NAZA with: "There's no evil lurking in me. It's just those Israeli soldiers." There are two things that make any of us capable of committing evil acts: 1. Finding ourselves in circumstances that, we are persuaded, call for evil. 2. Lacking the capacity for deep self-reflection. Those of us who have never found ourselves in the first situation have never really been tested on whether we have that second capacity. If you're absolutely certain that you could never do what those Israeli soldiers did in Gaza, then you have either done a lot of self-reflection or none at all. We have faced one test already: whether we protested the Gaza genocide with all our might or stayed quiet. But that test is the lowest bar there is. Would we still keep our humanity if we were persuaded the stakes were personally much higher for us and our loved ones, as many Israelis were persuaded in relation to Gaza. NAZA works, at least for western audiences, because on one level it makes us identify with the Israeli soldiers – they look and sound like our own children – while on another it shows the utter depravity of what they are rationalising to themselves and to us. It pulls us in and repulses us at the same time. It causes huge cognitive dissonance in western audiences – the reason most people walk out in stunned silence. That may lead to the kind of deeper self-reflection needed before western publics refuse to allow their leaders to collude in genocide. But it may also lead some, those less able to self-reflect, to entrench in their connivance with evil. We can't blame NAZA for that. The film offers us a chance to open our eyes. But each of us must decide whether we are willing to see or remain blind. If you want to read beyond the headline, you can find a link to my article in the reply post below ⬇️

Respectfully, AI has no agency, no goals. It is the CEOs such as Dario, Sam, Elon, Zuck, and others whose goals - under the unsupportable guise that super intelligence will lead us to an age of unbounded abundance - are to increase their power and wealth and control.
AOC: "As AI begins to encroach in our society, their goal is to take your cognition away from you. AI's goal is to take your thoughts away from you, your ability to think away from you, so that you become dependent on a machine ... reading books is active resistance"

The @news_sniffer service is a great resource if you want to track how the BBC and The Guardian edit their articles over time. Here's a recent article @newscord_org highlighted, about an Israeli advertising company infecting targets on behalf of its Israeli spyware partners. Israel is very much central to this story. The Guardian's headline on this initially attributed the attacks to an "Israeli firm", but then changed it shortly after to remove mention of Israel. Imagine it was a Russian firm responsible for this. Do you think the Guardian would make such an edit?

Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

As has often been said, it's important to upset the right people. If you're getting this level of support from 'mainstream' media, you're doing something badly wrong.
If it is your content, then absolutely nothing.

Citizen Lab found that Discover-Tech, an Israeli ad company, used targeted adverts to plant Israeli ‘zero-click’ Candiru spyware on 45 Al Jazeera computers between 2024 and 2025. Just seeing the advert is enough to be infected with the spyware. The Guardian changed their headline to remove the Israeli association. The Guardian published it at 12.15pm as: “Israeli firm’s digital ads enabling installation of ‘zero-click’ spyware” By the evening the headline said: “Online ads weaponised to deliver ‘zero-click’ spyware, researchers say” They weren't the only ones. The FT, WIRED, TechCrunch, Ars Technica and the Globe and Mail all also kept Israel out of the headline. Read all 61 outlets side by side in the NewsCord hub: newscord.org/article/discove…

They delayed the decision long enough to block Polanski’s chances of being elected to parliament. Burnham is yet another slave to fossil fuel industry suicide. That explains the corporate media’s perpetual Propaganda Blitz targeting Polanski - he’s the only threat of somebody actually doing something.
Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people.

A majority of the 635 children held in Israeli prisons in 2025 were put in solitary confinement, usually for between one and two weeks – some up to eight times. 92 per cent of those children had not been sentenced. A third had not even been charged with an offence. The world's highest court says Israel is an apartheid state. Its decades-long occupation is illegal.

There are many ways for Israel to impose famine on Gaza. The traditional method is a siege. This is complemented by a campaign to destroy the international aid network that keeps Palestinians alive. Israel has blocked vital groups from operating in Gaza, while its allies cut funding to those still allowed to be there. Sadism prevails:
🚨 Due to funding shortages, WFP is forced to reduce food assistance in Gaza by around one-third, meaning half a million people will lose access to critical aid. The cuts come as winter approaches and the recent modest improvements in food security remain fragile. From this month, we are supporting 1.1 million of the most vulnerable people in Gaza with food and cash assistance, down from 1.6 million last month. Food rations will also be cut by half. WFP urgently calls for additional funding in order to keep reaching the most vulnerable in Gaza and the West Bank.

It's a complete mystery why @BBCNews appears to have blanked this UN report which is utterly damning of the BBC and Western media. They have all 'facilitated genocide'. === Albanese found that Western media “camouflaged” Israeli responsibility in headlines, with the BBC most criticised for this, having been found to do so in 83% of its headlines, according to media analysis. The “striking example” provided in the report was of Hind Rajab. Five-year-old Hind Rajab was killed alongside her family while attempting to flee Gaza City two years ago. The car they were in was found riddled with 335 bullet holes from rounds fired by Israeli military personnel. The BBC headline still reads: “Hind Rajab,5, found dead in Gaza days after phone calls for help.” archive.ph/Ezjnh Report from @ScotNational

These people have rocks for brains. Beyond a few billion money is an abstraction, what matters is power. “Philanthropy” allows the very wealthy another avenue of power, while polishing their brand. French aristocrats called it ‘Noblesse oblige,’ it’s neither new nor benevolent.
Replying to @AndrewCurran_
I've mentioned this pledge that the Anthropic founders took to give away 80% of their equity a few times. People are usually skeptical. I know it's difficult to believe, but for the Anth leadership, immense personal wealth is not their primary motivation.

Not one Palestinian interviewed by the BBC about the “Zionism is racism” motion. The people who live with the consequences of Zionism every day have been completely silenced. A serious news organisation doesn’t do that. A propaganda outlet does.
“[Saying] ‘Zionism is racism’ is offensive, it’s antisemitic and it’s dangerous” Broadcaster Jo Coburn says she “watched in horror” as the Green Party passed its motion on Zionism and criticises leader Zack Polanski's defence in his #BBCLauraK interview bbc.co.uk/news/live/c64gv8k2…

Israel killed 12X more kids in their 2014 bombing of Gaza than kids died on Oct 7, Israel’s casual bombing in 2021 killed 26 more kids than kids died in Oct 7. I’m curious what allowances the “Israelis were uniquely traumatized by Oct 7” people think this affords Palestinians?
Rachel Abrams of NYT Daily podcast attempts to justify 3 years of bloody, indiscriminate mass slaughter by Israel. Notice how there’s never an attempt to discuss Palestinian violence in this way after decades of Israel brutal killing like when Gaza was bombed in 08, ‘14, ‘21 etc
