So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish!
Fixmie is shutting down. All services will be stop running on the 29th February.
Thank you all for being part of this service and appreciate all the great feedback during the past years 👋
Starting today, Fixmie will provide suggestions to wrap and fix errors with the new %w verb directive.
⭐️Happy to announce my new tool "errwrap". A Go tool to wrap and fix errors with the new %w verb directive. github.com/fatih/errwrap For now it's simple and does one thing. I'm thinking to add further settings to make it customizable for certain usages.

⭐️ Added a new set of fixer rules. Fixmie.com🧞♂️ now corrects certain "time" package usages and simplifies them for an easier read. It's ready to go and enabled in production. As always, if you have any questions or feedbacks please let me know. #golang #fixmie

Latest @fixmieapp update checks now if you have accidentally shadowed a predeclared identifier (builtin) and replaces them with some sane defaults. It also makes sure to suggest fixes for any local usages of the definition in the file. #golang #fixmie

You can customize now @fixmieapp for your repository. The following configuration disables the "comments" mode and ignores certain files and folders. For more information checkout the documentation: github.com/fixmie/docs

Fixmie was skipping files in vendor/ folder or files ending with pb.go/gen.go. But, from now on, @fixmieapp also skips generated files (specified here: golang.org/s/generatedcode) So, if your file contains the following line:
^// Code generated .* DO NOT EDIT\.$
it'll be skipped.

This was on my roadmap so here you go. From now on, @fixmieapp will gofmt your #golang code as well
This is perfect for first-time contributors who didn't yet setup their editor to gofmt-on-save or for repo owners who want to enforce gofmt
Enabled for all Fixmie users 🎉

I think code #review is the most imporant part of developing. Not only for the code but also for the one who wrote the code. So I'm happy to be able to test @fixmieapp on my #github repo. Want to try it out? Make a PR for github.com/florianl/go-nfque… #golang
