To be 💯 percent clear, this reflects my position on Israel/Gaza. Only a respectful solution can bring (an imperfect) peace. The victims on all sides deserve no less. teapawt.net/maozinon/status/173895…
I lost both of my parents on the 7th of October. I still believe that peace with the Palestinians is the only way. My loss is no luxury. We need a resolution, to prevent others suffering in the way we have - Palestinians and Israelis deserve peace, equality and dignity. @PCFFIP

Even slightly more sane Villa fans have lost the plot. Who gives a fuck about Carragher's tone. To quote Jamie, "shut the fuck up".
I completely understand why Aston Villa and its supporters have taken exception to Jamie Carragher’s comments. They were unnecessarily insulting, dismissive and showed a remarkable lack of respect towards a football club with a proud history and recent achievements. However, being offensive, arrogant or disrespectful does not, in itself, constitute grounds for successful legal action. There is an important distinction between comments that are unpleasant or provocative and those that are actually unlawful. Pundits are entitled to express an opinion about the relative stature of football clubs, however misguided or condescending that opinion might be. Equally, Villa supporters are entitled to challenge it. My question is, what exactly are we hoping to achieve by pursuing legal proceedings? What is the identifiable legal wrong, what remedy is being sought, and what would constitute a successful outcome? Are we seeking an apology, a retraction, financial compensation or simply attempting to make a statement that the club will not tolerate disrespect? As a Villa supporter, I appreciate the ownership standing up for the club and its fanbase. But there is a difference between defending Aston Villa’s reputation and potentially embarking on an expensive, time-consuming legal dispute over the personal opinions of a pundit. You can wholeheartedly disagree with Carragher, condemn the tone of his comments and defend Aston Villa without automatically believing legal action is the appropriate or proportionate response. I’d be genuinely interested to understand the legal rationale and, more importantly, the intended outcome.

Alternative take. Aston Villa will be forced to climb down in one of the most humiliating moments in the history of a club that has been revealed to have owners who are very small in stature. Thank the lord most Villa fans are embarrassed by their own club's comments.
Aston Villa’s complaint marks a turning point in the relations between Premier League clubs and star television pundits in Britain. It shows that the impunity of media punchlines now has legal limits.👏

Got to be honest. Allison Pearson holds opinions that I personally hate. So while I don't celebrate when people are fired, I can't honesty say I'm sad. Her's is a viewpoint that I'm happy to hear less of. I fear we'll see her popping up again very soon.

This is from the same clown MP who in October 2026 made the most absurd apology for his mistreatment of his female staff in the House of Commons. These idiots shouldn't be allowed to tie their own shoelaces.
I have written to the Equality and Human Rights Commission asking them to withdraw their interim guidance on single-sex spaces ⬇️. It goes beyond the Supreme Court ruling, increases risks of harassment and violence to trans people, and is contradictory & confusing. @EHRC please act!

This is simply insane. How the fuck did we end up with MPs as pathetic as this. Rude banter at football must be preserved at all costs. These twats want to suck all joy from life.
I’ve written to @premierleague Chief Executive Richard Masters demanding action on poverty chanting following Everton’s game against Chelsea. Everton & Liverpool supporters have endured this class prejudice for years. Mocking families who cannot afford to put food on the table is shameful. Through Fans Supporting Foodbanks, supporters stand together to feed our communities. The Premier League must show the same solidarity & leadership. Hunger doesn’t wear colours. It’s time our game acted like it. #RightToFood #HungerIsAPoliticalChoice

I know this isn't in Ireland. But it could be. Antisemitic attitudes have become normalised. Left, right and centrists have found common cause in jew hatred. It started as insidious. Now it's increasingly overt.
One of the most insane videos I've seen. American-Jewish comedian who describes himself as pro-Palestine is attacked at his show by a woman who believes all Jews are evil. This antisemitic garbage has become totally normalised. Social media brain rot!

Last Wednesday, I found a missing-cat poster for my cat. He wasn’t missing. He was at home, asleep on my clean laundry. The poster said his name was Biscuit. His name is Walter. I’ve had him for six years. I took a flyer from the stack at the corner store and called the number when I got home. A woman answered before the second ring. “Have you seen him?” “He’s in my kitchen.” She started crying. In the background, someone asked, “Did they find Biscuit?” I explained that there might be a misunderstanding. She said he was orange, had a cream patch under his chin, and sneezed whenever he sniffed black pepper. I looked at Walter. That was a fairly specific accusation. “How do you know my cat?” “Your cat?” She lived two streets away. He’d been coming to her house since February. Her daughter had named him, bought him a bed, and taught him to sit. “He can sit?” I asked. “For chicken.” At my house, he occasionally acknowledged his own name. Then she sent me a photograph. Walter was wearing a little bow tie, sitting behind a birthday cake.

In the end, it comes down to whether you believe Elon or Ukraine. And I'm in no doubt that Musk is entirely untrustworthy. His dislikeability isn't the issue. His dishonesty is. He has always had an unreliable relationship with the truth. The #Starlink switch off isno different.

It seems that every time a Green Party spokesperson goes on TV in GB, they look dumber than you think it's possible. They've destroyed the credibility of the environmental movement at a time the world's in fire. They're fucking insane. And they're Labour's perfect enemy.
'Is that a really good use of his time?' 'Raising money for a cancer charity?' The Green Party's @floschechter brands Andy Burnham going on Gogglebox as 'ridiculous'.

Never underestimate the ability of Unionists to embarrass themselves and feel smug about it. Linfield fans continue a proud tradition of idiocy. One step forward, six steps back.

Are you out of your fecking minds?Jones is a racist Jew hating prick.
Owen Jones has, for the last three years, revealed himself to be a man of enormous courage, integrity and truthfulness. No one should think for a minute that his relentless defence of Palestinian rights and historical truth is easy or comes without heavy personal costs. Throughout the genocide in Gaza, Jones remained a tireless bur rigorous and supremely decent voice. I suspect part of what initially moved him was the strong displeasure in being treated like an idiot by the official propaganda – a noble motive in itself – but there is no question he has been genuinely touched by the images of suffering arriving daily from Gaza. And yet, how does his intellectual fixation on a battle between left and right help us understand the horrors of Gaza, or move us to stop them? My impression is that the opposite has happened. People look at what is happening in Gaza and ask themselves what a person on the right or on the left should think. In many cases this is ideology. In most, simply careerism and group association. Jones shows how limited the perspective really is. How about, like the author himself, asking how a human being should feel? How about returning to the world of facts and feelings rather than our endless Marvel franchise? newstatesman.com/culture/boo…

Green politics in the UK no longer involves talking about the environment. It's about the green of murderous (sorry political wing of) fascist islamism. It's completely insane. Utterly mad. teapawt.net/DSanderson_85/status/2…

A reminder to Ireland. Today's murders in Jordan by islamist terrorists, are no different to Hamas' actions on Oct 7th. Or ISIS at Bataclan. These people are psychopathic religious nutcases. Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, AlQuaeda. All peas from the same pod. teapawt.net/war_noir/status/211362…
#Jordan 🇯🇴: “Islamic State” (#ISIS) militants attacked a church in Al-Karak Province. At least 7 people were killed and numerous wounded. Militants were armed with at least one 7.62x39mm AKM / AK-47 pattern assault rifle and unidentified pistols.

Sharon. You've been very good on women's rights. But sometimes you don't have chat some shit. Catch yourself on.
As Paris burns our prime minister has stopped people playing loud music on buses & trains.

Actually @adamboultonTABB, thank you for saying what most decent Irish people know. The descent of politicians, the media and a vocal minority of Irish people into antisemitism has been one of the most shameful episodes in Irish history.
Hi @adamboultonTABB. You owe me & other Irish people an apology. I am Irish & vocal against what Israel is doing in Gaza, West Bank & Lebanon. I object in the strongest manner to being labeled "anti Jewish". That is a gross smear & an apology should be forthcoming.

This is a wonderful pastiche. An @AJEnglish journalist complaining that he suspected bias all along of an ex BBC journalist. Al Jazeera is a state owned islamist propaganda channel. The defacto Voice of the Muslim Brotherhood. But sure, Jo and the BBC's biases are the problem.
Jo Coburn’s politics poured out of her when she was a supposedly impartial BBC News anchor but, as with many BBC journalists, there was an element of plausible deniability. It’s good to see what was obvious confirmed but problematic that it was already apparent.

I've mulled this over overnight. In the end Carole crossed the Rubicon into antisemitism. Her problem isn't that Jo has an opinion now she's left the BBC. It's that Jo is Jewish and isn't ashamed of that. Left wing middle class racism disguised as a question.

How the feck has she Jan kept her job? If she wants to work at Fox or some other far right organizations, fine. But CBS should not be the home of racist nutjobs.
Earlier, I tweeted a video from an Abdul El-Sayed town hall. I deleted that tweet because it was a violation of CBS News standards. I apologize.

To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office: The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable. But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence. We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph. The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries. ‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement. But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe. The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown. ‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.
