Kat Dennings says Marvel has scanned her and "could put me in anything they want at this point. I’m in the system."
The "Thor" and "WandaVision" actor was asked by Entertainment Tonight if she appears in "Avengers: Doomsday" and answered: “I am in the [Marvel] universe and, as you know, I can’t tell you anything. But I am not in it. I mean, I’m not in it. I am telling you right now, I’m not in it. If I were in it, which I’m not, I couldn’t tell you, but I literally am not. I’m sure they already filmed it. I was here [on set]. I’m not in it. But they did scan me, so to be honest they could put me in anything they want at this point. I’m in the system.”

Equity Members - if you've recently worked in film or TV you will have received an email today asking you to vote in an indicative ballot. It may sound boring but it's essential you vote. Our voices need to be heard loud and clear in the current negotiations with PACT.

EQUITY GRANTED SPOTLIGHT APPEAL
Equity found out today (Friday 7 November) that we’ve won permission to appeal the court judgment on our Spotlight case. This is welcome news, and we’ll take forward the case with and on behalf of thousands of Equity members, seeking to achieve fairer access to the industry.
Permission to appeal isn’t granted lightly, however, it shows that our case that Spotlight’s purpose is for performers to find work, has, in the judge’s words: “real prospect of success”.
As with the original case, there is no guarantee that legal action will be successful, but we welcome the opportunity to lay out the arguments, and we’ll keep fighting against barriers to accessing work in our political lobbying, campaigns and industrial work too.
Whatever the outcome of this appeal, we will always stand up for Equity members and take a stand on the issues that matter to you.
Find out more about the appeal on our website: equity.org.uk/news/2025/equi…

ALT Permission to appeal isn’t granted lightly, however, it shows that our case that Spotlight’s purpose is for performers to find work, has, in the judge’s words: “real prospect of success”. The judge also described our grounds of appeal as “of some general importance”.

ALT It will now go forwards to the Court of Appeal – we’re waiting to be advised of dates. As with the original case, there is no guarantee that legal action will be successful, but we welcome the opportunity to lay out the arguments, and we’ll keep fighting against barriers to accessing work in our political lobbying, campaigns and industrial work too.

This is what a rigged economy looks like:
In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker.
In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker.
This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker.
That has got to change.

In the bleak midwinter
frosty wind made moan,
earth stood hard as iron,
water like a stone:
snow had fallen,
snow on snow, snow on snow,
in the bleak midwinter,
long ago.

Problematically, @ace_national’s report isn’t sector specific, thus confusion like @lyngardner’s piece
75% of performers & SMs are in @EquityUK; despite ACE cuts, indy theatre wages are 16% up in real terms since 2014
Work is too precarious, but ACE is a culprit, not an oracle.
Is ACE finally addressing the chronic precarity of theatre's freelancers? thestage.co.uk/opinion/is-ac…

As an aside, I assume that the decision by Avanti West Coast to lay on a series of Pride-themed carriages to take people back from a Reform UK conference is entirely coincidental.

Brexit needs to be dead, the EU have already said the UK can rejoin the Single Market within months if we accept Freedom of Movement.
It would save a fortune, make everything cheaper, and provide £40bn, £800m a week to spend on the NHS
Why aren't we talking about it?
