PRESS STATEMENT ValueJet Addresses Flight Cancellation on Calabar–Lagos Route ValueJet regrets the disruption caused by the cancellation of its scheduled Calabar–Lagos flight on Sunday, 5 July 2026, and sincerely apologizes to all affected passengers for the inconvenience. The decision to cancel the flight was taken in the interest of operational safety. Due to operational limitations at the destination airport, which is restricted to daylight operations, the flight could not be safely operated after daylight hours. While we understand the disappointment and frustration this caused, the safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft will always remain our highest priority. We acknowledge that the disruption impacted our customers' travel plans and appreciate the patience shown by many passengers under these circumstances. All affected passengers are currently being contacted by our team regarding the options available to them, including re-accommodation on next available flights, applicable refunds, and compensation in line with our customer service procedures and relevant regulations.
