UN spox on Israel seizing a child in Gaza:
On Wednesday, a UN team went to retrieve a child who had crossed the so-called yellow line. The child was found in distress in an area under direct Israeli control. After bringing the child back in an area under the control of the de facto authorities in Gaza, the team was stopped by armed individuals who took the child away from us at gunpoint.
UN teams soon relocated the child, who was later reunited with his relatives & is now receiving the urgent care he needs. Civilians must always be protected, especially children.

As one heat dome gradually dissipates over Europe, another one looks likely to soon form.
The new one will affect Spain and Portugal first, before potentially spreading across France and the United Kingdom during the first half of July.
Extreme heat would again be possible.

He should be damned for centuries. And he will lose this war.
From the Horde in the 13th century to the Nazis and Bolsheviks in the 20th century, Kyiv’s sacred monasteries have suffered numerous barbarically attacks.
Now we are dealing with Russian terrorists who have already outmatched ISIS in their crimes against cultural heritage. Only Russian scum who have nothing sacred can deliberately damage the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a unique UNESCO heritage site under special protection.
We will be urgently initiating all relevant procedures within UNESCO and all other international mechanisms, demanding immediate and adequate responses to this state barbarism.
We expect strong reactions by international institutions and capitals. No vague words, silence, or weak steps. We need action now to stop Russian barbarism.

EU rules (Regulation 1008/2008) require airlines like Ryanair to be majority-owned (>50%) and controlled by EU nationals or entities to hold an operating license. Elon Musk, as a non-EU citizen, couldn't directly acquire controlling interest without violating this, risking the license. He might buy a minority stake, but full ownership/control isn't feasible under current laws.
