what if attention itself could become a market mechanism?
post a thesis on @fomo and trigger the snowball behind its underlying coin. every thesis activates a buyback + burn using the fees that coin has generated.
attention → thesis → buybacks → burns → more attention
a new attention flywheel for self market-making tokens.
buybacks will slowly increase in size as the system begins working through the backlog of 3,000+ theses that accumulated while execution was offline.
we’re intentionally scaling the buyback size gradually rather than deploying all of the accumulated fees at once, reducing predictable execution and making the mechanism harder to front-run.
as the backlog clears, buybacks will continue increasing and the engine will work its way back toward real-time execution.
buybacks are resuming.
our execution system crashed under the amount of activity coming through, but we’ve now brought it back online and are working through the backlog.
over $75,000 worth of accumulated fees will be deployed into buybacks + burns as the engine catches up.
we’ll have a more detailed post on what happened in the next few minutes.
Day 1 recap.
- 1,000 snowball runs
- $6.41M in volume
- 158.12M $FOMOBALL burned
- 15.812% of the entire supply permanently removed
thousands of theses have triggered the engine, millions in volume have funded it, and 1,000 separate snowballs have now executed.
❄️
Everything is working exactly as intended.
the additional buyback wallets aren’t designed to constantly execute at the same time. they give the engine additional execution capacity as volume and thesis activity increase, allowing more snowballs to run in parallel when that capacity is needed.
there is currently over 30 ETH sitting across the buyback wallets ready to be deployed as the mechanism continues running.

Only 1 wallet burning lol, other two wallets just sitting with eth without buying back. nice one. Skim the fees. Good tech if you actually do what you say lol.
the flywheel keeps accelerating.
- 863 snowball runs
- $6.11M in volume
- 155.60M $FOMOBALL burned
- 15.56% of the entire supply permanently removed
every trade keeps funding the snowball. every thesis gives it another reason to run.
attention keeps compounding. supply keeps disappearing.
$FOMOBALL has just crossed 12,000+ theses on fomo.
@seyong, serious question now: is this the most-thesised coin on fomo yet?
the attention flywheel keeps accelerating, and every new thesis keeps feeding the mechanism.
we have just crossed 3,000+ theses.
the attention flywheel is only getting started.
@seyong are you hearing things yet?
coins launched before the infrastructure upgrade currently have roughly $25,421 in accumulated creator fees sitting ready to be deployed through their snowballs.
those buybacks + burns will begin executing once the remaining $FOMOBALL thesis backlog has cleared and the engine has fully caught up.
the fees are still there, the snowballs are funded, and the engine will begin working through them as execution capacity opens back up.
our system is currently catching up on roughly 3,000 older theses that accumulated during the infrastructure upgrade.
as they’re processed, they’ll continue triggering recurring buybacks + burns, so you may see snowballs executing more frequently while the backlog clears.
once caught up, the engine will return to processing new theses in real time as they come in.
Thank you for your continued patience as we worked through everything.
We’d rather make these fixes early and build for what’s ahead.
The attention flywheel is back in motion.
BUYBACKS ARE RESUMED AND RUNNING 🟢
we had to upgrade our buyback infrastructure to handle the level of activity $FOMOBALL is generating.
the huge influx of traffic and thesis activity grew far beyond what the original buyback engine was designed to handle, with $FOMOBALL consuming a significant amount of the execution resources behind the engine.
we’ve now expanded the engine across multiple dedicated buyback wallets, allowing snowballs to execute in parallel instead of running through the same execution path.
more importantly, this removes the bottleneck that was affecting other launches and allows their snowballs to execute independently and run as intended.
buybacks + burns across the platform should now execute much more smoothly, with an architecture designed to keep expanding execution capacity as the number of launches, theses, and simultaneous snowballs continues to grow.
$FOMOBALL buyback wallets:

buyback #2: rh-scan.com/address/0x65e422…
buyback #3: rh-scan.com/address/0x65e422…
we’d rather make these scaling upgrades earlier than later. thank you for your patience!
we are setting up multiple dedicated buyback wallets to distribute activity across our infrastructure.
this allows multiple snowballs to run in parallel as thesis activity grows.
for $FOMOBALL, this means multiple buybacks can execute in parallel rather than being processed through a single wallet.
this will resolve the issues affecting launches that haven’t been executing buybacks + burns consistently.

it has now been just over one hour since launch.
we have already crossed 5,700+ theses on @fomo and are on pace to become one of the most-thesised coins on the entire platform.
this is a huge milestone and an incredible early test of what happens when attention becomes part of the mechanism itself.
the flywheel is only getting started.

@seyong are you hearing things yet?
We are actively working on this now.
the huge influx of activity around $FOMOBALL has been an unexpected stress test for our infrastructure, and some of the other launched tokens have been affected as a result.
we’re scaling everything up and other launches should be back to normal shortly.
everything is volume based. as volume increases, more creator fees are generated and more capital becomes available for snowballs.
the system is dynamic by nature, automatically adjusting the size of each buyback based on volume, available fees, and thesis activity.
this allows the flywheel to scale with attention while ensuring every thesis can continue triggering a buyback.

address the changes in buybacks, dont fuck it up, this can go 10x from here easily
things are picking up quickly.
- now 1 hour since launch:
- 417 snowball runs
- 141.97M $FOMOBALL burned
- 14.197% of the entire supply permanently removed
attention keeps growing. supply keeps shrinking.
the flywheel is accelerating ❄️
Yes, we are pushing out fixes now for coins deployed on our platform.
everything may be a bit slower than usual due to the huge influx of traffic across our infrastructure.
we’re getting everything back up to speed and running smoothly as quickly as possible.
