Asked chatGPT for a queered explanation of cooper pairing in quantum mechanics. Honestly love the result:
Happy to announce that #chi2023 I am co-organizing an accepted workshop on "Living Bits and Radical Aminos"!
The paper submission deadline is March 5th!

P.s. here is my favorite photo from the paper. @ozgunkilic Now onto our next project ;)
I will admit at first I was skeptical of pneumatic actuations in fabric, as historically that required large compressors, but after @ozgunkilic collaborated with Ali Shtarbanov using his FlowI/O platform, the entire system was compressed down to ~ a size of two packs of cards.
Not only does this paper have incredible depth of contribution (from pragmatic characterization to poetic application), @ozgunkilic did much of the work in isolation over Covid, as a foreign visiting student at MIT.
(1/4) Happy to share that my project on 3D printed fabrics, DefeXtiles, was awarded Silver and Bronze in the 2021 A’ Design awards in the Textiles and 3D printing categories, respectively.
Congratulations to the winners of this year's A'Design Awards, including Media Lab researchers @HilaMor3, @FormanFunction, and Ali Shtarbanov! Learn more about their winning projects—Venous Materials, DefeXtiles, and FlowIO—at the link below. media.mit.edu/posts/media-la…
For those interest in recreating #defextiles #3DPrint fabrics on their own printer I compiled a google doc that walks through my Simplify3D settings (although others have recreated it on other software). docs.google.com/document/d/1…
