Is this why Burnham and his gang want to set up an alternative administration in Manchester? Its anti-democratic
I read the reports coming out of Manchester this morning and I am genuinely speechless.
Andy Burnham’s old political machine has just been caught secretly intercepting and censoring emails sent by the public to elected politicians.
What were those emails actually about? A resident was asking hard questions about the £55 million in taxpayer loans Burnham handed to Abu Dhabi property developers when he was Mayor, with zero affordable housing requirements.
Instead of letting elected councillors read the concerns of their constituents, unelected bureaucrats quietly diverted the emails straight to the legal department to be buried.
The politicians had absolutely no idea their personal inboxes were being filtered by the state.
The council claims they had to intercept the messages because of potential litigation. It is a complete lie.
Internal correspondence proves the city solicitor asked for this specific resident to be blocked months before any legal threat even existed.
You vote for local representatives to hold the system accountable. But the second a citizen asks where Burnham sent public money in a Gulf state property deal, his political syndicate builds a secret digital firewall to protect the investment.
This is not a functioning democracy. This is a captured corporate cartel running a cover-up for the Prime Minister, and the national media is letting them get away with it in broad daylight.

Matt Brittin and Rachel Jupp, if you want to restore the BBC’s reputation you need to replace Laura Kuenssberg (and Chris Mason). What are you waiting for? Robbie Gibb to leave the Board? Just get on with it or step aside.
If , as Lara Kuenssberg now says , it was clear in 2016 that Farage’s claim about Turkey being fast tracked to EU membership wasn’t true why didn’t she explicitly say so then ?
It has taken 10 years for Laura Kuenssberg to finally distance herself from the stance of stenography and false equivalence she adopted as BBC Political Editor in 2016 , thus committing an act of national disservice
Today she called out Farage on one of his most egregious lies - about Turkey being fast tracked to EU membership
Let’s look at how she handled it at the time
In March 2016, Farage and UKIP heavily campaigned on the assertion that Turkey was being "fast-tracked" into the EU, warning that up to 77 million Turkish citizens would gain visa-free travel or eventual free movement rights to the UK.
Kuenssberg's reporting in 2016 did not explicitly label Farage's Turkey claims as "untrue."
Instead she resorted to ‘both siding’ without the critical ( and factually based) evaluation one might expect from a BBC Political Editor.
She created a false balance by putting UKIP's false claims alongside the factually accurate statements from Prime Minister David Cameron as if the two were of equal merit .
The facts , as Kuenssberg now acknowledges, were not in doubt.
Turkey's accession ( if it took place) was decades away and the UK held an absolute veto over any new nation entering the bloc.
Kuenssberg did not explicitly call the Turkey fast-track claim "untrue" until now, a decade after the referendum.
Today when the beleaguered Farage insisted his original warnings were accurate, Kuenssberg explicitly slapped down the claim, stating: "It wasn't true that they were being fast-tracked into the European Union. That was very clear at the time. It wasn't true."
If only Kuenssberg had displayed the same mettle 10 years ago
The nation has cause to mourn the missed opportunity
Meanwhile the Express is outraged that Kuenssberg has ten years late confronted Farage with the truth . Plus ca change 👇

So, the state is filtering peoples emails so that elected politicians don’t know what you are complaining about. Politicians think all is well, & that government is doing a great job. You are left with your complaints unheard. That is wrong & undemocratic if this is true.

Seems Deliberate. ?
What do they still fear from him, I wonder.

King Charles, Prince William William Parker Bowles, Prince Edward and Princess Anne in full military uniform, are laying wreaths on Remembrance Sunday. Apparently this day is for the veterans who actually fought and died in active duty. These parasites are weariness these big uniforms without any shame, Infront of the veterans who lost friends, their physical and mental health, without any shame. Parading in military Uniforms. Prince Edward without any shame wearing military uniform, when he quited the Royal marines, not even managing to complete a month of training and calling it the worst period of his life. #RemembranceDay #RemembranceSunday

Good to see @Keir_Starmer at the Cenotaph today on Remembrance Sunday.
A poignant reminder of what leadership.. dignity and respect for the nation looks like.
It also brings into sharp focus what we feel the country has lost... and the contrast with the political upheaval that followed.
For those of us who believe keir was denied the opportunity to continue his leadership.. and the events that unfolded will not easily be forgotten.
A reminder of what was..what has been lost... and the consequences of the political treachery that brought about his downfall.
Remembrance Sunday is about honouring those who gave everything for our freedom.
It deserves dignity..respect and leadership worthy of the occasion.
