At our Welcome Home Luncheon, we introduce supporters to resident success stories, like Ellie Acuña, the single mom of two daughters. If you would like to help us as we continue to support our residents and neighbors, you can make a donation at foundcom.org/donate.

At our Welcome Home Luncheon, Executive Director Walter Moreau updated supporters about affordable communities we opened recently, and some we will open in the near future. He closed, emotionally, by outlining three principles that have guided our growth. foundcom.org/donate

👍Foundation has been able to continue growing thanks to funding partners - In particular, Wells Fargo. We received $15 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) equity from Wells Fargo to build Burleson Studios. They sponsored additional funding through FHLB Dallas.

At our Ribbon Cutting for Burleson Studios, Austin's Mayor Pro Tem Jose "Chito" Vela had kind words for area leaders who used federal funding they received to create housing. He was also very complimentary of Foundation Communities and others who made Burleson Studios a reality.

A huge contributor to the construction of Burleson Studios was Travis County, which provided $12 million it received through the ARPA economic stimulus package. At our Ribbon Cutting event, Travis County Executive Pilar Sanchez explained why this was important to county leaders.

Before any construction could begin on our newest supportive community, Burleson Studios, area leaders had to work to gain approval for a tax exemption. One of those who worked hard for that was State Rep. Lulu Flores. We were honored to have her speak at our Ribbon Cutting.

❤️The Burleson Studios Ribbon Cutting started with Foundation Communities Executive Director Walter Moreau thanking everyone who collaborated to envision and design our most supportive community for single adults.

Today it happened! We officially cut the ribbon to open Burleson Studios in southeast Austin. It will be our most innovative and services-rich supportive housing community for single adults. Look for more on today's opening event in the coming days.

We'd like to take you on a quick video visit to the Norman Commons Learning Center, our newest one! The Afterschool program is well underway, and dozens of students are enjoying activities that will enrich them academically, creatively, emotionally and physically.

Foundation Communities has a longstanding partnership with HAAM to help Central Texans find affordable health insurance and housing. So, it was our honor on HAAM Day to host The Philip Marshal Trio. You can learn more about HAAM at myhaam.org
