For decades, enterprise software has transformed how companies manage purchasing, yet much of procurement remains stubbornly manual. At the world's largest manufacturers, buyers still spend countless hours chasing suppliers, reconciling discrepancies, and navigating fragmented systems.

Starting with direct procurement, Fragment is building AI agents that investigate and resolve complex operational issues across existing enterprise systems. At Flex, the team went from pilot to production in just three weeks, increasing employee productivity 4x.

The real bottleneck in industrial procurement isn’t a lack of vision. It’s architectural chaos running underneath it.
In the past few years, I have understood the magnitude of disparate software systems driving Industrial companies and the inability to find our way out of it.
To bridge the cracks, companies threw people at the problem. Back-office teams became expensive human API wrappers, copy-pasting data across systems that were never designed to connect. When basic execution depends on brute-force manual work, strategic sourcing is an illusion. You can’t create value when your baseline data is noisy, delayed, and trapped in silos.
This is where AI agents change the game. Instead of a multi-year, high-risk ERP rip-and-replace, they work as an intelligent layer over the infrastructure you already have. They investigate discrepancies, reconcile invoices, and execute resolutions across fragmented systems in real time.
