Excited to share our last work from @KlannLab where we unveiled cell-type specific changes in the striatal medium spiny neurons underlying the expression of RRBs in FXS mice! A great collaboration with @CarterAG, @NicTritsch, and @BagniClaudia labs! 1/5
Happy to share @fran_longo17's work describing how cell type-specific changes in striatal MSNs drive repetitive behaviors in FXS mice. Many thanks to @CarterAG, @NicTritsch, & @BagniClaudia labs for sharing their expertise! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
TRAP-seq revealed altered binding of >120 mRNAs to ribosomes in dSNPs of Fmr1 KO mice: elevation in mRNAs associated with ribosome and mitochondria, and reduction of those associated with cell adhesion, the synapse, and voltage-gated calcium channels 4/5
We showed that RGS4 translation is significantly reduced in dSPNs and treatment with a positive allosteric modulator of the M4R that is upstream of RGS4, can reverse RRBs in FXS mice.
