i'm often asked how i'm able to get out of bed amidst such a devastating loss.
my answer always is; my parents gave me the most precious gift of existence and would be upset if i let circumstances crush me. i have to live this gift of life for them and their memory.
crazy that i got this app in university and eventually ended up working at this app. life is wild. #MyXAnniversary

canada has a really difficult history which makes it hard for me to feel any sort of pride being canadian. however, today i woke up thankful that canadians looked to our neighbors to the south and said: “not here, not today”
3️⃣5️⃣ today. wow. this one feels a bit wild. 34 was a year that can be only marked with extremes. not the worst i’ve ever endured but certainly not easy. admittedly, i’m still recovering from of it all.
in spite of that year that was. i stay in eternal gratitude for more life. more time that is never promised. i’m reminded that a decade ago, i was celebrating what would be my last birthday with both my parents. i’m always humbled by change.
friday marks 9 years without my dad and it already feels like i can’t even function. anyone who tells you you “get over” grief can get bent.
my whole heart 🖤
10 years today with the coolest & kindest person i know.

<3 you @fransaraco and our little family.
as much as things around me feel fraught and dark rn i’m constantly reminded about the power and light that comes with moving your body
2024: a tough one in my books. some joys of course, life isn’t all dark- but i won’t be sad to have this year behind me. my focus for 2025 is peace, abundance, community, adventure, health and growth. resolutions are whack but intention is everything.
