Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises.
All Republicans had to do was:
1. put Americans First
2. not start another war
3. prosecute sex traffickers

In the bluest state in the country, in the bluest tsunami you can imagine, Phil Scott still won. By being a pro-growth moderate. Aided by Democrats picking a candidate who is an anti-growth radical.
I am BEGGING both parties to learn from this!

Before the Bible, the Church fathers referenced "the book of nature," which referred to God's revelation found in His beautiful creation.
If you go outside, His creation still shows His glory.
Despite the chaos of mankind, the maples still turn beautiful gold & orange.
The sun rises on time every day.
The sun sets at God's appointed predictable time.
The sun, stars, and moon will be there at predictable locations in the sky.
God is everywhere in creation, our solace in chaotic times.
God holds the world together even when sin tries to break it apart.

Living in Europe not on vacation for 6+ months makes you realize why America is amazing.

Europe as we know it, with its spiritual and moral heritage, is rooted in the lives and work of men and women who lived, preached, and shared the teachings of the Gospel. From this heritage, the moral foundations of the world in which we live have been handed down to us: principles such as the primacy of the person and the sacred and inviolable nature of human life; the protection of freedom; the primary importance of the family; care for the poor and those most in need; welcoming the stranger; and respect for the elderly. #ApostolicJourney #France

Today is the day the Winged Hussars saved Christian Europe.
They saved Viena, and Europe at large, from being conquered by the Ottoman empire with their legendary charge.

We came within a pencil shaving of losing everything. It would not have come back. I wouldn't be writing this. Forbidden. Nor would you be reading this. Forbidden.
Camps.
The darkness & silence of the camps.
I've met a few people who would have served, happily, as guards.
It was terrible; they planned something even worse.

I'm an Angeleno...nearly all my friends and family are democrats. All of them are terrified of the socialist psychos hijacking their party and pushing their insane communist gobbledygook, but they don't know what to do cuz they get called "bigots" when they voice any concern.

Orwell's most brilliant observation in "Nineteen Eighty-Four" was that reducing a person's vocabulary also reduces his capacity to think.
Reading old or difficult literature will unleash the full potential of your mind.

Want to help workers and families in winter? Sponsor a "Save Sunshine for Workers" by giving tax cuts to companies that let their workers go an hour earlier in the winter. But do not pass permanent DST. It is a proven failure.
Voted AYE this afternoon on HR 139 the Sunshine Protection Act. The bill ends the pointless time change that has plagued our country for more than a century, and makes Daylight Savings Time permanent. I would much prefer to see us shift to Standard Time, which centers noon at the sun’s apex – thus avoiding driving to work or school in the dark during winter months. Daylight Time was once tried and abandoned for this reason. But whether Daylight or Standard Time, getting rid of the annoying “spring ahead fall back” nonsense is a good thing.

If you don't listen to the @DisaffectedPod podcast, I strongly recommend that you start doing so. I haven't been listening for very long but every time he releases a new episode, I find myself hearing him say something that I've been thinking. It's such a relief to hear him say the things that I thought I was crazy for thinking.

Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.?
Because we gave them that L in 1776.

America’s 250th anniversary also belongs to the Dutch. 🇳🇱 They were there at the beginning. They gave us the First Salute in 1776 — the first time any foreign power recognized our flag. They loaned us the money to survive our fight for independence. They gave our Founders the inspiration for a document that declared our desire for a free society. And when freedom in Europe was threatened two centuries later, Americans crossed that ocean to stand with them — just as the Dutch had once stood with us. That is 250 years of partnership. 250 years of shared values. 250 years of showing up for each other — in the good times and in the hard ones. I am deeply proud to represent the United States here, in this country, at this moment in history. And I am grateful for the privilege of calling the Dutch our friends. Hartelijk dank. Thank you, happy Independence Day, and God bless The United States of America. 🇺🇸
