Yesterday, kidnapped 13 y/o girl rescued using Flock. Cops can get a glimpse of a vehicle description via CCTV, then go into Flock and find a vehicle that matches that description (from Flock images nearby) and get the plate. They can add it to the hotlist, and get alerted.

Robotaxis: just look at the numbers. Waymo: 200M+ unsupervised miles, live NOW…real riders. Cybercab: still mostly a keynote slide Past is prologue. If you want to see the future, just look at what’s right in front of you. Reminds me of 2006: Nokia 48% Market share! Windows Mobile 14%, BlackBerry 8%, Motorola 6%, Palm 5%. iPhone: 0%. Not even worth a line on the chart. Underlying tech? Who cares. Just trust the numbers — they’ve never once missed a paradigm shift. 🙃

Incredible! And unfortunately these types of life and death success stories aren’t a rare occurrence. There has to be a middle ground where we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Let’s be honest, those pushing against Flock ALPRs have forced the discovery of some real abuses that may never have come to light otherwise. For this we owe the opposition a debt of gratitude. Abuses are being identified and not tolerated and Flock is improving the system to be more effective at deterring and identifying those who abuse it. The ultimate solution is to do it right. Not to go back to doing without it. The thought of what would have happened in this case is horrifying.
Incredible footage released yesterday. Man kidnaps a kid, says he's going to eliminate the kid, and drives off. Cops find him using Flock cameras, take him down, and rescue the kid. Source: yahoo.com/news/us/articles/v…

This is 100% on point and accurate. Ask any cop who policed before LPRs. Flock is increasing accountability, actually catching cops doing the wrong thing, and preventing countless needless detentions. (Not to mention catching serious criminals faster and much much much more often). Those opposed to Flock don’t understand or aren’t aware of what used to be the imperfect alternative. Every community should be free to choose how to be policed. That choice should be an informed one.
Really good article from a cop who has used Flock pretty extensively. This excerpt stood out to me the most. Despite what the anecdotal hysteria suggests, tools like Flock make it less likely for officers to pull over the wrong person. Read it here: worksinprogress.news/p/a-cop…

In one day!
Yesterday, Flock cameras alerted on 4,144 sex offenders, 2,151 stolen cars, 1,687 wanted people, 158 missing persons/kids, and most importantly, an amber alert. Children were rescued in Dothan AL, Charlotte NC, North Kingstown RI, and more. This is every day. See some of the news stories below:
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The '4,144 sex offender' alerts are automated NCIC registry matches triggered whenever any registered offender's plate passes a camera, regardless of wrongdoing. A Monongalia County sheriff's official confirmed many hits are never investigated as no active crime is involved. dominionpost.com/2026/07/22/lar…

Since Flock expanded in Houston: Violent crime dropped 18.9% Robberies dropped 23% Auto thefts dropped 38% And homicides have dropped 32% since we installed the first camera in 2021. HPD has recovered more than $7.4M in stolen vehicles Sources below:
Replying to @rahul @Flock_Safety
Houston has over 3000 Flock cameras - more than any other city in America. Since installing them, the crime rate hasn’t changed dramatically. It certainly hasn’t seen a significant decrease. So what are they doing?

Agencies using coordinated Drone as First Responder programs are reporting an 89% increase in subjects located. License plate readers identify the lead, video confirms what's happening on the ground, and the drone maintains aerial visibility as the situation develops. Everyone's working from the same picture before officers arrive on the scene. Learn more: bit.ly/4esEtvf

Awesome takedown video. Suspects assault and rob the victims, and then @SFPD uses @Flock_Safety ALPR + drones to locate and arrest them. This tech is helping thousands of agencies, every day, keep Americans safe.

Today, we announce the Flock Alpha, the most powerful and fully American-made public safety drone response system ever built. Five years ago, I stood on the rooftop of my police station and imagined this moment. There is no better feeling than seeing a vision come to life (I do not have kids yet).

This moment has been 2 years in the making and it feels just as good as I expected it to feel. Our public safety customers are now legally allowed to fly our drone system beyond visual line of sight, 24/7, across their entire jurisdiction, fully remotely.

Nailed it.
Reflecting this morning on the achievement of my friend @rahul resulting in one of the biggest acquisitions in public safety with @Flock_Safety buying @FlyAerodome. Those who met Rahul know that he is a genius. Brilliant mind, visionary, and polymath. He was a cop and a paramedic. He knows every police chief in this country. His command of product details, the nuance is impeccable. He is hands down one of the greatest salespeople I’ve ever met. And he is a total nerd, who knows all the parts of every single type of drone. So with all that it is little surprise that Rahul had an amazing outcome and made a lot of money. But this is not what I am struck with the most. With Aerodrome, his second company in public safety and also with SPIDR Tech, which was his first, Rahul created wealth not just for himself but for so many - employees, advisors, and his investors. In addition to Rahul’s talent, what I am struck by is his incredible generosity. He didn’t come from wealth himself yet he created wealth for so many, and did it clearly and deliberately. With Aerodrome - Rahul put together the absolute dream team. He brought in the best and the brightest with ease because it is easy to follow Rahul, but he also did it with incredible generosity. Rahul kept splitting the pie because he knew his vision was massive, he knew the crew was so important, and he wanted to create wealth for others. Rahul embodies the American way. He embodies the way American capitalism and the best technology founders create wealth and elevate us all. I am so proud of my friend’s achievement and so grateful for his generosity. Bravo, Rahul!!!! cc @saarsaar @davidu @MichelleVolz @2048vc @a16z @CRV
