Lately I've been working with founders.
Their apps are doing > $50k/mo.
These are the tactics they use to convert more users, and the tactics I used to get to $13k/mo in 3 months.

When the CEO of the most valuable company in the world says...
'the founders of Higgsfield are visionary in the work that they do … but these are some of the brightest people in the world'
You know you made the right investment.
Jensen Huang: “… the founders of Higgsfield are visionary in the work that they do … but these are some of the brightest people in the world.”
We're grateful to Jensen and the teams at NVIDIA and TCV for believing in us. Both companies have joined Higgsfield as investors in our Series B
extension.
Since our August Series B:
• We’ve crossed $1 billion in annualized revenue.
• Enterprise contracts are up 71%, growing 100%+ month-over-month
• We’ve grown from 30 million to over 40 million users globally.
TCV has backed Netflix, Facebook, ByteDance and Spotify, companies that changed how people create and consume media. NVIDIA has powered every generation of Higgsfield, from L40 and A40 GPUs through Hopper and Blackwell, with Vera Rubin next to meet growing demand.
Thank you to our creators and customers for building with us every day, and to everyone at Higgsfield whose work brought us here.

We started Mubit in Aberdeen. No network, no lab, nobody knew us. We just wanted AI systems that actually work.
Today we work with some of the best companies and engineers in the world.
And the thing we kept seeing: you and your competitor run the same AI. It should be yours. 🧵

I got to $2.5k/m in ~30 days with Apple ads.
• You get $100 from apple for free.
• It's still the easiest marketing meta.
This is what I'd do today:
1. Use [strict] keywords only.
2. Keywords = competitor's name.
3. Split campaigns by territory group.
4. Adjust CPT for each (i.e US is more).
5. Use the recommended CPT from apple.
6. Make sure you have a cracked app store page.
7. Hire someone to do your screenshots or use AI.
8. Use the new store assets!! Search banners etc.
9. Budget about $25/day at first, increase ongoing.
10. Wait to see how the ads spend over 2 days.
11. No spend = competition spending more.
12. Increase the CPT until you find a good balance.
13. Export data, give to Claude to find winners.
14. Scale those further.
Note:
Apple ads is like ASO, it won't work if your niche is insanely saturated. The ideal situation: one big app doing organic, where people search for the name (and keyword) and then get shown our hyper targeted ad.
Another point: some industries won't work for indie devs. For example, finance. Big companies will buy their own keywords at $25 per tap just to spite the competition. Positioning matters way more with Apple ads.

In 2020, I was on a date in South London when I got my first real internet money.
I’d been uploading beats to YouTube for a few months. A rapper reached out to me on Instagram.
Almost 7 years later, I no longer make music.
Instead, I'm a full time indie developer, making a very good living. More than enough to live a good life.
Winning is just failing on a long enough timeline.

Web Apps >>> Mobile Apps.
• Apple removes (legit) developers.
• Apple takes 15-30%. Stripe takes 2.5%.
• Apple takes ~45 days to pay you.
• Apple decides what you can build.
I love mobile apps, and I still build for apple.
But: Diversifying is key & SaaS is king.

Our SaaS made ~$1,000 in one day.
Maybe software isn't dead?
This is why (I think) it worked.
1. Product Market Fit.
There was a huge gap. As quite a few people said, it just makes sense. Especially for big consumer apps. We're the first movers in the space, there are some big enterprise people but the DX & UI were both awful.
2. Pricing.
We launched with limited early pricing of $25/mo or $200/yr. The yearly deals drove a lot of upfront revenue. When you consider you're getting unlimited AI responses (thank you Anthropic), this is a pretty great deal. 20 spots left btw, so go get em.
3. Our network.
We have a network of good friends making a lot of $$$ with apps. This gave us a great chance to test everything, as well as get everything approved by apple. This is not trivial to do, and is a genuine moat (you can't vibe code trust).
4. Trust & Community.
This is the biggest one, I think. I've built up a huge amount of trust within the app community, I'm super active, deeply embedded & care about the success of all of my friends. This translates into the products I build.
A lot of things came together. I'll be curious to see if this success continues beyond an initial launch.
Whatever happens: we created a new way to convert users on mobile, and that's a nice contribution to the app space.
