For all his flaws, Elon Musk turned factory workers and welders into millionaires through equity ownership. That’s what capital markets can do: democratize wealth creation and allow ordinary employees to participate in the upside they helped build. It’s saddening to see an “IPO for the people” being celebrated when the company can hardly point to how many of its own people have had their lives materially transformed by its success.

The fact that our people don't see anything wrong with this is the first red flag. I also want to see how much of the company Dangote employees own. If anything happens to Alhaji tomorrow, half of our stock exchange is in peril. That is too much risk to take.
