RE: Haters & Critics
Be selective in who you listen to...
"I learned, & I hope other people will learn, that you are always going to hear NO, & people are always going to doubt you."

Most people will still be “learning AI” in 2026.
A small group will be shipping, automating, and replacing workflows with it.
These 9 skills decide which side you’re on 👇
• Prompt Engineering
(ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini)
• AI Workflow Automation
(Zapier, Make, n8n)
• AI Agents
(CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph)
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
(LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vectara)
• Fine-tuning & Custom GPTs
(OpenAI GPT Builder, Hugging Face, Cohere)
• Multimodal AI
(GPT-4, Gemini, Grok)
• AI Video Generation
(Runway, Pika, OpusClip)
• AI Tool Stacking
(Notion, Zapier, ClickUp)
• LLM Evaluation & Management
(Helicone, TrueLens, PromptLayer)
Hot take:
If you’re only “using ChatGPT”, you’re already behind.
The real leverage is systems, not prompts.
Save this.
Revisit it in 6 months.
You’ll thank yourself.

“The secret to life is easy because it's so simple:”
“You don’t have a lot of envy or resentment. You don’t overspend your income. You stay cheerful in spite of your troubles. You deal with reliable people and you do what you’re supposed to do.”

We need more rugged individualism, not less.
Build on the frontier. Be independent. Decentralize power. Accelerate civilizational progress. Celebrate economic freedom.

The best definition of success is "Optionality."
You have options - in how you spend your time, your money, what healthcare you receive, how you pace your work, how you help those you care about...and generally how you live your life.
Success is Optionality, full stop.

Excellent, @tom_peters 👏
Let’s all start with “living more gently” with tolerance for others.

90% of coaching is helping people get out of their own way.
Ego, fear of failure, status anxiety, external validation = Get in our way.
I've spent 20 years working with elite performers on how to get the most out of ourselves.
Here are the key lessons:

I just realized tI hate term “people skills” Nothing could be more inhumane. There is the act of treating someone kindly, listening, caring, really caring. Those are the ways we should lead our life. They are not “people skills.“ They are what it is to be a decent human being.
THANK YOU @tom_peters for all your contributions to leadership thinking.
I can speak for @fan_cornell that we are grateful for you championing People First cultures!

The single most important thing that I learned from you is the vital importance of “thank you.” So, Tom, thank you.

Nobody knows anything...
True of Hollywood, true of Silicon Valley, true of anywhere innovation takes place. No one knows if your idea will work or not before you actually collide it with reality and try it out.
So please… just start.

I think everyone would have a better life if they didn’t worry about things that haven’t happened yet.
They tell themselves a million stories of what might go wrong instead of just doing anything. It’s much easier to just go for it and find what actually goes wrong as you go.

Preach! Lifting others up is the ultimate superpower. But let's be real, it can also be a major vulnerability - people can take advantage of your kindness and generosity. Where do you draw the line between empowering others and protecting yourself?
