Maybe die for a few
months or years
and wake up when the poem
is complete,
when the flowers in our
garden start to grow,
their scent luring
the sparrows into visiting
our house,
our house that’s now
a small forest of rubble.

Artists never work for personal gain. Being an artist means sacrificing our gain for the purpose. The purpose is greater than the artist.
Experimental contemporary poetry and art are spaces for rage and liberation that we will continue to honour and protect.
We stand in solidarity with all Palestinians, and grieve the loss of their people. We think of the poets they and all of us have lost.
