Author of a book called You're Not Enough (And That's Okay) has decided that it is decidedly not okay for another woman to freeze her eggs. Also, she's wrong, misinformed or simply can't possibly know AOC's situation to be making these types of statements
1. She’s been with the same guy for years. There is no reason she couldn’t have had kids yet.
2. She will now require IVF or surrogacy to have a baby, which will always come with ethical and health risks that the baby is forced to bear.
3. It is very rare, even via egg freezing and IVF, that a woman is able get pregnant after 40. Most of the embryos she creates will never see the light of day.
4. Purposely deferring motherhood into her 40s means removing the possibility of her kids knowing their grandparents, and probably removing the possibility of her grandkids knowing her. That is selfish.
5. Freezing your eggs is horrible for your health
6. She’s glamorizing the lie that women can have it all. You can’t. Biology is real and how you order your life makes or breaks your future
