Is it a hot take to say that I don’t consider Metroid or Castlevania games to be “Metroidvania” games? Because I don’t.
Metroid games are Metroid games, Castlevania games are Castlevania games. I reserve the “Metroidvania” label for non-Metroid and non-Castlevania games.

I think this of Metroid. But not for the metroidvania type castlevanias since the term was invented to separate some castlevania titles from others. Metroid is Metroid, NOT Vania. It's like calling Dark souls a soulslike. It's not really correct. Other games are kind of wannabes.

NG+ on Master difficulty rocks in this game. New enemy behaviour and combinations everywhere.

Interesting data. Feels a bit like imagine a dark souls with easy mode only - yea difficulty it not the only thing matters. But with this game it feels like the point for me.
I did Master ninja on NG II 6 years ago. Included test of valor in the same run. It's basically more difficult since I had to save the heals for the tests. I am not surprised to see the numbers at all. It's insane to go through that hectic combat for so long for the first time
Try to learn how to tweet. 2 out of 3 posts I make does not turn out as I want. Slowly improving I think
It's funny how many players scratching NG2 on the surface seeing all the bullshit, without seeing the insane masterpiece this game actually is. This include myself hating the laggy 1st level, my 360 even crashed while I got projectiles exploding in myself.

It's kind of funny how Ninja Gaiden 2 Black seems to be getting more praise now than Ninja Gaiden 2 did when it was new
I remember the game being met with 6s, 7s and low 8s because of its difficulty
Which was a disservice because NG2 was one of the highpoints of the genre
Later today I will spend some time with my new hobby - Fortnitecoaching/support and team building. I am not the best coach with limited knowledge but I think I make a difference. Just be there supporting means a lot for the kids I think

Thought I was going to play "the "definitive version of Ninja Gaiden II". it's not! No action game reaches the peaks of Ninja Gaiden II on XBOX360 in my book yet. This is not NG II. It's another version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 @TeamNINJAStudio still really good though!
