Splendid Fellow is an interesting runner in the 2:25 @ Newbury Pertemps Qualifier, 7/2. Can’t imagine Henry De Bromhead sends many horses to Newbury outside of the Gold Cup meeting? Mark of 125 so ideally would need to be winning this to get himself into the finale, I’m on🐎

Kizlyar for me for the Melbourne Cup, 40/1 EW 5 places. Sneaks in at the bottom of the weights. Has very solid form lines with Defiantly (fave before vets pulled him), small fry etc who’ve all ran belters since Royal Ascot. I think he’s been overlooked.

I absolutely love that jumps racing is back but I have not missed the guessing game that comes with it. Skelton with 5 in the 2:33 @ Carlisle, Madara and supremely west, both festival winners, anyone have any idea of their plans for the season? Guess neither are here for the win?
