Novelty part of my brain is excited. Logical part of my brain wonders what the insurance company is paying for it, especially when they’re making no noise about other treatments the dr asked for weeks ago.

If you want to know how the frozen shoulder is going, I inflicted a crippling amount of pain on myself by adjusting my bra strap.
Shit neighbours have actually put a fence up to keep their dogs (and sheep) inside their property.
Only took doubling down on threatening to call the ranger, and sending them a photo of their dog outside my door after they told me it never leaves their property.
The look on the face on the pharmacist when I picked up my new meds and we discussed the side effects of the previous two I’ve tried. 😬
I got this ad today while searching for capes, because I feel like capes should be a thing this winter.
I feel like I really should have clicked “learn more”.
On new meds for my nerve pain.
Was warned they might make me depressed, but they seem to be making me manic instead.
It’s a better side effect than the last meds, but I’m not sure it’s a win.
It is currently 34°C and my power has gone out and is currently not expected back on until 1am.
I think it might be time to seriously look into one of those camping battery setups that keep turning up on my feeds.
Having watched folks get excited about the Bonne Maman advent calendar this festive season, I’ve just signed up to be reminded when this year’s goes up for pre-order.

Post-surgery week number… nine? maybe?
I’m over sleeping in the cast, but will continue.
Sometimes hand mobility is better, sometimes it’s worse. My wrist still swells up every day no matter what I do.
My fingers hurt a lot.
Dr visit today. He asked me about my pain levels.
Apparently there might be steroid injections in my future if things don’t improve.
Right now I’m more worried about my mobility and grip strength (or lack thereof).
For the first time in seven weeks I drove the car. I wanted to give it a go without the pressure of time & traffic because I’m going to need to drive to get between appointments later in the week.
It was not fun.
Week 6 post surgery.
I’m supposed to get the cast off this week; though my mid-afternoon pain levels are such that every day I wonder if howling into a pillow may help, because the meds certainly don’t.
On a public transport adventure because I had to leave the house for an appointment, and if I have to go out then I might as well make the effort worth it.
I won’t lie though. I’m looking forward to an ice cream and a lie down at the end of this.

There’s a snooty horse lady in the street who’s NEVER said hello to me before today. Never waved when she’s seen me before. But she saw me walking along and was all “are you okay?” which definitely sounded like “are you sure you should be here?”
I bet you it was the blue hair.
Having one of those weeks where I’m comfort-shopping.
I know what set it off, and what’s keeping it going, but my savings are taking a hit.
