UPDATE: I have multiple very credible sources confirming that Daniel Pullin is set to be terminated and that there is an emergency board meeting this afternoon.
Per a discussion from a credible poster on Horned Frog Blitz, here are specifics issues that have led to his pending firing:
• Allegedly passed out drunk onstage at a recent donor event.
• Allegedly had a handler in Dublin to keep him from drinking too much.
• Allegedly has been in and out of rehab recently.
• Allegedly had alcohol removed from his suite at football games.
This post alone should be a fireable offense.
Before the season, Mike Buddie was asked what he was most excited about.
His answers? Winning, the new offense, and LED lights.
Fast-forward two months. We’re 3–4, have ONE Power 4 win, and the new offense is an absolute fucking disaster.
But hey, at least the lights work.
How can someone responsible for leading a major college athletic department be THIS clueless?
It’s becoming painfully obvious that Buddie has absolutely no ability to independently evaluate the football program he’s supposed to oversee.
Sonny sold him a bill of goods about the new offense and competing for championships, and Buddie apparently swallowed every fucking word.
This isn’t just embarrassing. It’s a complete indictment of his judgment.
If Mike Buddie is this incapable of recognizing the problems right in front of him, how in the hell is he qualified to make the decisions necessary to fix them?
And this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this man’s incompetence…
@Buddie52 we’re going to spend this week taking a VERY close look at how you’ve managed to make such a spectacular mess of this athletic department.
Buckle up.

10+ point favorites at home on homecoming against the 137th-ranked offense in the county… if @CoachSonnyDykes still has a job on Monday, you deserve to be canned too @Buddie52. Absolutely pitiful.
This is so weak, a bandaid, and shuffling of the chairs.
Unless Sonny is fired, nothing else matters.
TCU has fired co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach A.J. Ricker, a source tells @On3.

What the actual hell is wrong with you @Buddie52 ????
You are such a worthless little pussy.
DO SOMETHING!!!! Or are you nothing more than a powerless yes man?
Instead of firing Sonny, you should just fire yourself.
🚨 EMERGENCY 🐸 FAM MEETING 🚨
Sonny Dykes needs to be fired THIS WEEKEND. Not at the end of the season. Not after another embarrassing loss. NOW.
We are well beyond the point of salvaging this. The program is spiraling, the fan base is checking out, and every additional week of this nonsense is doing more damage.
But let’s not pretend firing Sonny fixes everything.
TCU has a much bigger leadership problem, starting with a Board of Trustees that desperately needs accountability and reform.
Having Victor Boschini back is a massive step in the right direction. But we also have an athletic director in Mike Buddie who has done absolutely nothing to inspire confidence that he’s equipped to navigate the current landscape of college athletics.
And therein lies the dilemma.
We need a new football coach immediately. But do we trust the current AD to hire him? Absolutely not.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the luxury of waiting around to fix every problem at TCU before addressing the most urgent one.
Fire Sonny this weekend. Promote Andy Avalos to interim head coach. Begin the search for a permanent replacement immediately, with Victor Boschini taking a leading role in the process.
Buddie can have a seat at the table for now. But he should NOT be the one driving this decision.
There are much bigger institutional problems at TCU that still need to be addressed, and I suspect Buddie’s future will be part of that conversation sooner rather than later.
But those problems cannot become an excuse for keeping Sonny Dykes employed for another week.
TCU cannot afford to waste another season waiting for its leadership to get its shit together.

Remember that TCU is reportedly fielding the second-most expensive roster in the Big 12.
To put it mildly, that’s a loss in which every boo is more than warranted …which seems to be a theme around here.

Pack your things and get the fucking hell out of this city. @CoachSonnyDykes
Worth the read. Glad TCU is taking the first step to right the ship. But the fact Daniel Pullin was even hired in the first place by our BOT is a major red flag that needs to be investigated.
Chancellor Victor Boschini has agreed to a 4-year contract. This is incredible news for TCU.
FWIW, Boschini never liked or approved of Daniel Pullin. Many people claim that VBo handpicked Pullin as his replacement. That is completely false. The TCU board hired Pullin in spite of VBo’s disapproval.
This brings into question the decision-making of our board of trustees… might be worth exploring the removal of a few people there too.
