Fry, motherf*ckers! by @fthoztrk Part of @theDAMmuseum’s Permanent Collection 🏛️ A motorcycle arcs through the air in an unmistakable scene from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Big Smoke grips the handlebars; CJ clings behind him, pistol flashing in his hand. Beneath them, cars twist and crumple in the glow of an explosion. Flames leap upward in jagged orange, crayon-like, childlike – alive like our nostalgia itself. This work resurrects the energy we felt as kids with the controller in our hands, plastic buzzing, as if the world might break open at any moment. Ozturk paints pure nostalgia. –– Fry, motherfuckers! is featured in DAM PACKS: 2025 🖼️ DAM PACKS: 2025 is a curated collection of 99 works preserving the energy and style of 99 artists in this moment.
