This is like being a meth head and asking someone who's never done meth how they're going to get through their day without meth

I don't post much here, I know, and I never shill for people. But Claire Stapleton is one of the most delightful people to have ever passed through Google employment, and commands the English language like no one else. This is going to be a TREAT, I'm certain of it.
hello x--just dropping into the famously calm, nourishing discourse here to say my book is out this summer. drama, death, executives, and mass revolt--with light romp energy--inside google. info + preorders below. love and light to all :)

Denmark should simply delegate the power to Greenland to sign a mutual defence treaty with Afghanistan. We already know the US can't beat them. Problem solved.
Premier of Greenland 🇬🇱 statement this morning; This morning, I am both saddened and grateful 🇬🇱 Saddened, because during a press conference last night, the President of the United States once again expressed a desire to take over Greenland. With such statements, our country is reduced to a question of security and power. That is not how we see ourselves, and it is not how Greenland can or should be spoken about. We are a people with a long history, a strong culture, and a vibrant democracy. We are a country with responsibility for our own territory and for our own future. Our territorial integrity and our right to self-determination are firmly anchored in international law and cannot simply be ignored. That is also why I am grateful. Thank you to everyone here at home for the clear support and unity that has been shown. The calmness and dignity with which you have met this situation send a strong signal of a people who stand firm in their values and in their responsibility. I would also like to thank heads of government and partners around the world who have clearly and unequivocally expressed their respect for Greenland, for our democratic institutions, and for the fundamental principles of international law. That support confirms that we here at home do not stand alone. Once again: Greenland is our country. Decisions are made here. And I will at all times fight for our freedom and our right to decide for ourselves and to shape our own future. For now, I hope that the peace of Christmas can settle over us all. Merry Christmas 🇬🇱💙🇬🇱

"I'll not allow German children into my house!" Tom said, unkindly.

"Just check the rates of ovarian cancer in the Vatican City. Sure most of the population are men so that may be a factor but..."
Replying to @MrsCMFrancis
Just find out the rates of skin cancer in africa where they are in the sun all day. Sure melanin counts are different so that may be a factor but something to think about

I feel like it would be the best move in history right now if Denmark announce that they ARE, in fact, happy to sell Greenland and have signed a deal to do so. To Canada. (I would also accept Mexico)

Hard-hitting Fairfax journalism this morning: how would US election turn out if Australians voted? Look forward to future articles "who would win an Oscar if the Academy were all cats?" and "how would a head of bok choi have scored Raygun's breakdance?" theage.com.au/politics/feder…

Wow, why do 11 of you follow this absolute dipshit? This is one of the most impressive examples of "slam someone based on completely failing to understand their tweet and then both double down AND divert to something equally stupid in the replies" as I've ever seen.
The idea that you can just cite someone else's paper to say anything you want, and then when people point out that it doesn't actually say what you claimed, you can just shrug and say "Well who has time to actually READ all those papers?", is just incredible.

Sanity check to Aussie network/ISP-background people: do NBN ISPs have access to historical NBN outages affecting an address? Mine claims they don't but I thought I remember that the tooling allowed them to.

Musk says "🤔" to claim that 4 pre-Trump pres. faced 0 assassination attempts. Pipe bomb & ricin (x2) were sent to Obama. Grenade thrown at GWB. Clinton was shot at, had a bomb planted for his motorcade, and was posted a pipe bomb. Musk is ignorant, not just stupid. Who knew?

If I was an idiot billionaire busily ruining a previously popular social network, and indeed an entire country, I would simply not propose impregnating someone who just squeaks over the "½+7" line of bare-minimum creepiness with a baby which will end up not talking to me anyway.

"They threw Biden out of the campaign like a dog" I assume he'll next be claiming that a Haitian immigrant tried to eat the President.
