On faculty trying to do #sotl who don’t read these journals: “A lot of times we are like a 40-year old woman who’s still reading @Cosmopolitan… Why are we reading journals that don’t apply to the stage of life we are in?” @Teachforaliving throwing down 🙌 #AcademicTwitter – at Raleigh, NC
Why don’t we do this more often with college students also? #activelearning #experientialeducation #immersivelearning #mentalhealth – at Raleigh, NC
Imagine teaching a class of kindergartners in a "magical forest," an outdoor space where learning adventures come to life, and students are free to be their wiggly—and sometimes noisy—selves. #MakingLearningMorePlayful

YOU'VE NOTICED THESE SCREENS, RIGHT? They tell you what study areas are busy and which are empty.
Depend on them during exams!

Always good to be reminded of Elliott Smith when he was alive, even if it is in this creepy surreal fashion. The muppet looking thing bobbing along to Clementine makes me happy. – at Raleigh, NC
This unearthed Elliott Smith appearance on the 1995 FX morning show 'Breakfast Time' is the most surreal thing you'll see today.

NC Teaching Fellows is a scholarship program for aspiring teachers, with a long and politically charged history.
This year, it returned to HBCUs in an effort to diversify the teaching workforce; and a House budget proposal could help the program grow. wunc.org/education/2023-04-0…

Really interesting article by @caityweaver via @nytimes on millennial travel and maybe the #futureofrec for for this age cohort. #leisure professionals often think participants want lots of choices. Maybe they don’t. #academictwitter #tourism nytimes.com/2023/03/20/magaz…
