I think I've mentioned this before, but if you need me I'll be over on Mastodon at @[email protected]
mastodon.gamedev.place/@fuzz…
I have no idea why I have new followers, but just a reminder I am now at mastodon.gamedev.place/@fuzz… so why not give me a follow over there?
If you ever see this tweet cause this hell hole might just delete it as it mentions a competing site...

Ah, thanks! Should I be transitioning more over to FFI externals or will this continue to be supported?

Okay, looks like I may have been taking advantage of some lazy JITting which resolved natives late. Starting sometime in Dart 2.19 the code gets JITted earlier... I think? So it doesn't have a native resolver. Maybe a change in the dfe....

Must have changed earlier than 2.19... all 'native' functions aren't calling the native function resolver anymore 😓

Rebuilding for Dart 2.19.2 now and will report back. I'm pretty sure this sample worked in in Dart 2.18. Usually when I get that error I'm told it couldn't find it in a specific library. "top-level" is new.

@mraleph I'm guessing something changed / is changing in Dart 3.0 related to how native "top-level" functions are resolved? Is there a way to set a native resolved for top level functions in dart_api.h at the moment? github.com/fuzzybinary/dart_…

The instance can make a pretty big difference. But, I know it's not quite the same.
It's just not terrible, which I think is an improvement?

You could come over to Mastodon and be happier...
What the hell @DisneyPlus? Why in GODS NAME do you need to know my GENDER to allow me to keep streaming? WTF does it matter?!

You know, Mastodon is actually kinda nice....
Hey #Flutter and folks, what are some good Flutter conferences I should look into for 2023?

That was something that struck me when I was there. So many folks had already been there a long time.

Some people said "what if there was a gamedev twitter, without the rest of twitter bs", and then I spun up this Mastodon instance. mastodon.gamedev.place
