Just received a QSL card from Norway with a personalised stamp on it. Its from Thomas LA3PNA and the stamp has a photo of his dish antenna on it.
I was his first CW (morse code) contact on 1296MHz EME - bounced off the Moon
This was my first calculator. At that time I had a slide rule that I used for most of my first year at Huddersfield Polytechnic.
Observed the eclipse on 2320MHz with my 5.4m dish. Was a bit late getting things going, but the drop in Sun noise is there..
9cm EME - here's my echo's at the end of the Dubus contest period.
Using 5.4m hb dish, 100W sspa at the feed and hb G4DDK vlna 0.4dB NF.
Spent too long this morning looking for a 3/4" cone shaped rubber washer. I need to replace the flat washer on our toilet cistern overfliw pipe that is slowy leaking water. Can't find any anywhere. Looks like I will have to bodge it with silicone sealant... not what I wanted...

Did a bit of plumbing yesterday. Not finished yet, but results show I am on the right track. Mashed up the brass screw heads with the wrong sized screwdriver. Will do it right next time...
I measured the gain and NF of my QPL9547, a Chinese LNA from Aliexpress - "0.3dB NF 20dB gain 0.1 to 6 GHz", a Lotus 50M6G LNA and one of my PHA83 W gain blocks. Looks like the Chinese LNA performance is very close to that of my home made QPL9547.
Not sure if I believe Gemini AI after wasting a day making an evanescent mode filter designed by Gemini AI that doesn't work. Should gave gone with Grok and w1ghz.
Will ask Grok about how I can improve my QPL9547 at 5.7 GHz
I guess the crappy sma connectors I used are not helping. Not easy to change them now its all boxed up.
I have another board, so might have another go if I can find some better connectors
All had disappointing NF at 5.7GHz. So I am looking for something with better NF and high ip3 at 5.7GHz
Tested out a usb -c adc lead for my Samsung phone yesterday, so I can record my EME video clips direct from the receiver. I found that the phone microphone was easily overloaded and now I have got rid of the fan noise.

Just finished making a QPL9547 lna. This will be used as the RF input stages for my multiband transverter on 13, 9 and 6cm.
Was expecting a better NF, but might be the crappy sma connectors I'm using...
Anyway, NF not so important for the intended application.
