Played the Castlevania Belmont’s Curse demo this morning and… I don’t think it’s going to help game sales. Some demos convince you to buy a game or hype you up about a game you already were excited about, while others make you question whether you’ll buy it at all.

For me, the demo did not hype me up at all. Is the gameplay decent? Yeah, but given the developer that’s expected. It’s not great though. But the story and voice acting? 😫 Cringe at best. For me, the game went from “automatic day one buy” to “wait and see.”

Even if the first Wo Long didn’t hit for you, you should try the demo for Wo Long 2 today before it becomes unavailable on 9/30. I think the second one is significantly more fun.

I started the demo of Wo Long 2, and it makes me want to go back and try the first one again so I can see the differences. So far I’m really liking the demo and I’m wondering why the first one didn’t click with me.
